Here is a clip from our Demo back in 1997. We had recently purchased our first "non linear" computer edit system (our then edit suite C) but this was edited old school with tape machines and several computers that just had one job each. There was one for controlling the tape machines, one that did the character generation/graphics and another that controlled the DVE (picture manipulation). In addition to the computers there was a video switcher, audio console, video scopes and a few other things to do what can now be performed on a laptop computer.
