From the beginning, the process of stringing beads struck me as magical. And, over the years, that magical process has had its way with me, leading me from hobby to wearable art. Designing beaded jewelry fills me with a sense of accomplishment and integrity, and has proven a most amenable vehicle for translating inner vision and beauty to outer reality. As with any artist, my time spent creating j
ewelry is an enjoyable process. My taste and style continues to change, and while I use a variety of materials and processes in each piece my methodology is consistent, thus introducing me and my customers to the next body of work. Though I work quite deliberately, consciously employing both traditional and innovative techniques, my unconscious is the undisputed project manager. The concrete, repetitive nature of the work frees my imagination and provides many opportunities for happy accidents and grace to influence the finished product. I design from the inside out. The work has always been grounded in pleasure and aesthetics. I know I have accomplished my mission when a piece of my jewelry starts a conversation!
