Do you ever change your toothbrush? ๐ชฅ
It's recommended that you use your toothbrush for 3-4 months before it needs to be replaced. If you use your brush for much longer than that, the bristles will become frayed, being less effective when you brush your teeth.
Another reason to change your toothbrush is for bacteria buildup! After you brush your teeth, bacteria and plaque inhabit your toothbrush. The longer you use a certain toothbrush, the more bacteria will take over the brush.

Are you using too much toothpaste? ๐ฒ
You've seen the commercials; fill your toothbrush with toothpaste from end to end. It looks so satisfying!
Guess what? That's too much toothpaste! A pea-sized amount of toothpaste is more than enough for anyone aged 8 or over. For kids, a smear is a healthy amount of toothpaste.
If you use too much toothpaste, children can swallow too much fluoride, and for adults, a discolourization of teeth can happen.

Here's what you need to know about rinsing your mouth! Should you rinse your mouth with water or mouthwash after brushing your teeth? Read on to find out.
1. Water
Did you know that after brushing, gargling with water is bad for your teeth? The fluoride that was left behind by your toothpaste is washed away by water.
2. Mouthwash
Using a mouthwash during rinsing will not dissolve the fluoride nor wash it away. With fluoride in your mouth, you are sure of having a fresh breath, strong and healthy teeth, and an enhanced smile.
3. Takeaway
Rinsing is effective for clearing plaque and debris from the mouth. If you don't have mouthwash, try not to rinse your mouth with water after brushing. And if you can, use a mouthwash with fluoride!
