Jerrod Baugh for Sheriff
Jerrod is committed to helping the people of Putnam County by becoming your new sheriff. Your vote will be appreciated.
During the campaign, we discussed at debates what our administration would do at the beginning of our service. The resounding answer was more Community Connections.
Since the beginning of the year we have increased our presence in schools and at public events.
I will say it over and over, the more you know your deputies the more you trust your Sheriff's Department.
Look for us at this year's Putnam County Fair with new programs and services to you the citizens of Putnam County. JB
Merry Christmas Everyone!
From our home to yours, Thanks for a great year.
God is good, His word is true, and It works in our life.
Milo, Iggy, Gayle, Tara, and JB
So much fun to be able to visit the kindergartners and spread a little Christmas cheer! I hope to see you all tomorrow at the Courthouse for the FOP Cops and Santa program. Come by and get your picture with Santa and enjoy a snack and gift with our local law enforcement.
This is where it all started for the Baugh Family in Putnam County.
Gale and Evelyn Baugh raised a family in this Jefferson Township home and I have always loved to hear the stories of when they would go vote. You see, my grandparents never owned property or a home, they could never afford it. But on election day they would put on their best clothes (the one suit that my grandfather owned and my grandmother's best dress) and then head in to vote and have lunch out.
You see on election day you have something of great value to you and your community, a single vote. On this day your vote is worth the same as the richest person's. So please be part of our greatest strength in our government, VOTE. JB
Thanks to all for your continued support as we move to the general election day and beyond. Jerrod, Tara, and Gayle.
What do you do when you have a large bag of candy left over from the spring campaign? Join a parade of course! Thank you Cloverdale Main Street for putting on an awesome Cloverween parade each year.
Headed to town for the celebration of our Nation!
Putnam County Proud
I was a great Saturday to be busy on the campaign trail in Putnam County. Cloverdale Farmer's Market and AL Riders event, 200th Birthday party and card signing in Greencastle, old and new friends for lunch in Fillmore, followed by the Madison Fire Dept Pork BBQ dinner and auction, and last but not least the Bainbridge Fireworks. Good times with family and friends. See you at the fair!
Thank you so much for all your support Putnam County. We are honored to have earned your confidence and votes, and look forward to serving you. Together we make Putnam County better.
We will start picking up signs Thursday night, if you’d like to keep it, make sure to put it up by then. Thanks again for your support.
'Twas the night before the election, and all through the Baugh house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The cowboy hat was hung by the entry with care, and Baugh for Sheriff shirts, all ready to wear.
Jerrod was all nestled at home in his bed.
A good night’s sleep ‘fore the long day ahead. Having waited so long, almost as much as a year, it was hard to believe the election day was now here!
When out in Putnam County there arose such a clatter, there were 8 polling places to vote for what really does matter.
When what to our wondering eyes should appear, but 3 sheriff candidates on the ballot this year.
But now the long awaited results of the race will soon be here,
With his name on the ballot we knew in a moment what inspired Jerrod to run for Sheriff this year.
Giving back to his community is what he desires to do, so let’s give him the chance to do that for you.
“Now Cloverdale, now Roachdale , now Greencastle, Floyd Township,
On Reelsville, on Bainbridge, let’s go get this win!
To the top of the county, to towns big and small,
Vote away! Vote away! Vote away all!
So round up the kids, the parents, the grandparents, and family near and dear, for tomorrow we find out who the new Sheriff will be and we can’t wait to hear!
A special Thank You to both the League of Women Voters and the Heritage Lake Property Owners for the opportunity to have an open debate and the sharing of our plans for the future of Putnam County Law Enforcement. This is in fact a great place to live and raise a family.
Let's take it to the next level.
Together, we make Putnam County Better.

What a nice day for door to door.
On Tuesday, May 3 help me elect my good friend and fellow Putnam County involved citizen/officer Jerrod Baugh. I have worked beside him for the last 27 years as both a community police officer and local volunteer. This election for Sheriff, and our local policing is greater than just arrest and interstate patrols. It is about the future of a connected community to its Sheriff’s Department, and a leader that you can trust. Vote Baugh for Sheriff

🛵Sunday Funday Niceday for a Ride🏍
The weather is awesome and that means the two wheelers are heading out on the roads.
Look twice, don’t take a life. Motorcycles are on the move.
Like many boys, you do what your father does. When I was about six years old Dad brought home a Honda 50 Trail motorcycle for my older brother and I. We were living at the jail and that is where I got the motorcycle bug. But I was so short that I could not reach the ground. Stop laughing.
So, I learned to start my ride and end my ride beside an upside down Handy’s Milk crate. Tell me you are from Greencastle without telling me you are from Greencastle. That is my story and these are my motorcycles thru the years. Happy Sunday Everyone, JB
Thank you to my friend Amanda for these kind words and encouragement along the campaign trail. There is no more genuine Putnam County person that I know.
If you have left your furbabies with her, you also know.
She likes some people but all animals. Jerrod
Vote the next two Saturdays.
4/23 and 4/30
Greencastle and Bainbridge
8am-3pm
Bring your friends with you.
Vote for Jerrod Baugh for Sheriff
🦃Sunday Funday Huntday🦌
“Take your kid hunting so you don’t have to hunt for your kid”
It was just a bumper sticker in my garage for many years, but as time has passed, it has become part of the journey. Like so many other quotes, qubits, and proverbs, some have more meaning than others.
One on my true blessings in life, has been watching my daughter both fail and succeed. It’s not easy but in each there are life lessons. I take every chance I can to take a kid to the hunting woods and this coming weekend is youth hunt weekend for kids. Take a kid hunting. Thanks to all the land owners and friends that make hunting with kids a reality.
As my daughter sat on my knee in a hunting blind waiting for her first bird to give her the perfect shot, I could feel her tension. Then as the shot broke and the bird was harvested, the shakes came. I knew it was the dump of adrenaline followed by the fact that you can’t talk right or pour a coke for a hundred dollar bill. And that was a teachable moment. I remember saying to her, do you feel that? That right there can not be bought in a pill or drink, that is our drug. No boy or friend will ever offer you anything that will be that awesome.
Maybe that will work maybe it won’t, time will tell. Take a kid hunting.
Happy Easter, JB
So many bunnies, babies, cowboy hats, eggs, and puppies!
What a great day spent with family and friends on the campaign trail. Thank you to all those who pulled me to the side and expressed your thoughts on the recent Sheriff's debate topics and my team's focus on you the citizen. This campaign is really shaping up into who has a vision for the future of Putnam County.
Two more stops tonight and that's a wrap for the weekend.
Church and Family day tomorrow.
He has risen!
What a great weekend traveling the county and meeting with many of you. It started with two firehouse breakfasts, two Easter egg hunts, and one parade. We concluded the day with a celebration with Family Support Services. What a great organization to make Putnam County that much Better.
We have had many great conversations along the way and our focus on what is affecting you and yours has been received. These meaningful exchanges of information will assist us in the future. Thank You
If you know of a place we need to be this weekend or next in the Big Red Truck, comment below. Thanks JB
Sunday Funday Family Day
So today is a day spent with this little lady. She looks like her mother and acts like Grandpa Baugh. Never met a stranger, isn't afraid of the devil himself, and drives too fast for most passengers. But she doesn't need to change a thing.
Good luck to my little hunting buddy as she walks the stage vying for State Fair Queen.
It's a long shot but you lose every chance you don't take.
Pushing pause on this campaign for family.
Give them hell kid!
Back on the trail tomorrow.
JB
We had a blessed day visiting with the citizens of Putnam County in Reelsville and Bainbridge. The breakfasts were amazing and good conversations were had!
See you on the campaign trail, JB
🐰✝️♥️
Many stories have a beginning and this one is mine.
It has been much easier to write the preludes to the other videos. It's just the first thing that comes to mind after first watching my fellow citizens and coworkers introduce me to you. Easy day.
This one is different.
I was recently asked, "why on earth would you want that job right now the way things are in the world?".
My answer is remarkably easy.
Because there is no more important job right now, and someone else is watching. Watching to see how and what we do to make it better. I am only asking for one thing, the Opportunity. Thank you, JB
Together, we make Putnam County Better.
