After studying design in Dublin, Ireland, Catriona then moved to New York to take up a position as a junior buyer for Bergdorff Goodman. Here she was afforded the opportunity to encounter world-class designers and to travel the world extensively sourcing new and exciting products and anticipating trends. The sparkle of acce
ssories and jewellery caught her eye and she put her knowledge and skills into the costume jewellery market and began designing and sourcing interesting pieces for future collections. After 6 years in New York, Catriona returned to Ireland and began to wholesale her jewellery with great success to over 350 boutiques around her home country. Catriona Hanly Jewellery has featured regularly in lifestyle publications and television in Ireland, the UK and the US. Her collections are sought after for fashion shoots, award shows and celebrity gatherings. Interior Design has always been Catriona’s first love inspired by her mother’s keen eye and elegance for home décor. Throughout her career and travels worldwide, she has gathered ideas and stimulation for fabrics and furniture and developed a unique and inimitable style. Her show houses at Lough Rynn Castle Estate in Ireland and many other developments are testament to this and the use of colour, luxurious silk fabrics and subtle themes are evident throughout. Now based in Kuala Lumpur, Catriona is transporting her stylish flair for home décor to South East Asia.
