Twenty-nine nations, 40 surface ships, three submarines, 14 national land forces, more than 150 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC in and around the Hawaiian Islands, June 27 to Aug. 1. The world' s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world' s oceans. in 1966, Operation Hastings commenced with over 8,000 Marines from the 3rd Marine Division and 3,000 Republic of Vietnam troops conducting offensive operations against the 324th division of the North Vietnamese Army.
Operation Hastings was the largest combat operation up to this point in the Vietnam War and forced back the 324th Division across the DMZ, effectively stifling the NVA’s freedom of maneuver and reinforcing allied strength in the northern Quang Tri Province.

We bid farewell to Maj. Gen. Eugene 'Gene' J. LeBoeuf, Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Reserve Command, June 9, 2024, in a ceremony honoring his illustrious career of over 39 years.
As Deputy Commanding General, LeBoeuf oversaw 26 Army Reserve Operational, Functional, Training, and Support Commands in the Continental United States, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Germany. Before this assignment, he served as Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM).
LeBoeuf and his wife, Teresa, were surrounded by their family, friends, distinguished service members, and guests for the heartfelt ceremony.
Thank you for your faithful service to our Nation.
