Hi

Spring cleaning is under way in the neigbourhood!

If you don't have enough collected to host your own sale consider donating items to our community garage sale here at the club!

Our annual garage sale will be on Saturday, June 1st and we are already accepting donations but are happily looking for more. Please drop off any donations to the club beside the bike rack.

If you will be hosting your own sale please consider having it on the 1st to build a neighbourhood wide sale - let us know and we will add your address to the list of homes participating.

To learn more about the sale please visit our website riverviewcc.ca

Do you have art to donate? A good cause. I was fortunate to visit the grandmothers in Africa who are helped by the funds raised.

Two of the members of WHIM are off to Italy! Our first delicious meal was at, you guessed it. Burger King! We plan to do better in the future.

This is one of our lobster parties with friends that was pre-Covid. We were very lucky during Covid to have friends that we live with and we created our own parties during that. Hopefully the future will hold more exciting events.

A few of the roommates of whim joined the residents at a retirement home to protest the closing of the building. I am hidden behind the poster, saying seniors have rights.
We were part of “The Raging Grannies and sang a song about housing.

We need to have more creative living ideas for older adults and all generations.

If there were an easy cure to the isolation felt by so many Americans today, it just might be cohousing community:
🤓neighbors who want to know you
🍿neighbors to share moments like movie nights, community dinners, game nights, walks, and more
🙋‍♂️friends to look out for you when you need an extra hand
👩‍🌾 people to share the load of gardening and lawn management with

What do you love most about cohousing?

For those who aren't familiar with this form of neighborhood design, cohousing gives you all the privacy of individual homeownership with the added community of neighbors who choose to live in a space designed for connection. 🏡 💛

We exist to help propel this movement and continue to encourage individuals to build communities that are diverse, inclusive, sustainable and democratic.

Explore existing cohousing communities across the United States and connect with seekers through the "Find It" tab of our website. 🔗

Lots of activity on a Friday afternoon with five kids (grandchildren and special friends of a room
mate) playing hide and go seek. Lots of cubbyholes to hide in and our secret passageway. We love to welcome kids to our women’s coop.
