Barely 24 hours after the incident CEBU LUMAD LIONS CLUB gathered a few necessities as initial help to the fire victims of Sitio Paradise, Looc Mandaue City now housed at Mandaue City Central School.

Past presidents Doctors Marilyn Hallarte and Gaile Dejoras led the distribution of bottled and gallons of water, used clothing and school supplies for first wave.

Based oni the initial details gathered by the group ,provision of food is already taken cared of by the local government unit and some private organizations.

What they need are water, blankets, kitchen utensils and school supplies for the school children.

For three days the victims will be at Mandaue City Central School then they will be transferred to Looc Gym.

HAPPY TUMMY, ENRICHED MINDS
Is a five in one initiative of the Cebu Lumad Lions led by President JB Bonggo, aimed to address malnutrition, dental care, mind nourishment, livelihood and youth volunteerism.

More than 50 children with their mothers were able to benefit in the package activity in Purok Bombay, barangay Tubod, Minglanilla town of Cebu Philippines.

A story-telling / book reading was done to start the day to bring back love for books and bonding with family.

How to brush the teeth properly was a highlight made by Lions Jason Formentera and PP Dentist Jessamin Formentera.

They also distributed toothbrushes and toothpastes courtesy of Philippine Dental Association-Mandaue - Mandaue Chapter.

The feeding followed with nutritious food cooked by the mothers making sure veggies were put in the food.

Pork lumpia donated by DipNJoy -Wold Streetfoods based in Toledo made the combo.
RM Marketing completed the meal with juices and water.

Alongside the children's activity, the mothers were taught soap series--how to make powder detergent, fabric conditioner and dishwashing liquid as an alternative source of livelihood.

The event was strongly assisted by the TG (To Go) youth group of Minglanilla, as part of their means to inspire others on the essence of volunteerism.

Cebu Lumads aim to conduct this monthly in different areas in the province

HAPPY TUMMY, ENRICHED MINDS of Cebu Lumad Lions Club goes to : Minglanilla Cebu tomorrow August 13, 2021 Saturday!

A collaboration with Philippine Dental Association-Mandaue Chapter we hope to bring joy to 50 children with simple feeding, storytelling and dental education.

At the sides, the mothers will be taught soap making series (fabric conditioner, detergent powder and dishwashing liquid), an alternative livelihood scheme l.

This will be the first of the first of the monthly club activity of alongside the other advocacies of Lions International.
