Good day folks, it has been a while now since I kept silence in this group chart. My silence in this group chart is not because I have no more energy to work. My silence came from a serious disappointment in one of our colleagues in person of TAMBA JUSU. Since October 30, 2016, this noble body paid US$300.00 to TAMBA Jusu for 30 arm chairs, to date, we were only able to receive 14 chairs. All efforts had been made by few members including Rev. ISHMAEL WALBUCK to contact Tamba but to no avail. He is in the business of cutting the phone off once he notice it was call concerning the chairs. We sent him text messages both on facebook and on his phone and he refuse to respond. I have personally try to protect Tamba character by not informing this group until I get the chairs from him but as I see it, I will be held responsible as a leader if I can't give account of the people's money. Folks, am highly disappointed and would like to ask everyone to intervene or else, I will take legal action against Tamba Jusu. Rev.. ISHMAEL WALBUCK is witness to this and he's very disappointed. Tamba action is equivalent to destroying an organization, tarnishing leaders reputation. As such, we are not going to sit there and allow the labour of hardworking and committed member be eaten by a single individual and go free. Pls join me in restoring our money. Of recent, I sent a Worning message on his page. By reading the message, he was able to respond but still I can't still get the chairs.

We also want to use this medium to kindly request a voluntary contribution toward the activities budget (L$25,000.00) and to as well remind you of the payment toward the chair project.

Greetings to hard working folks of the Conscious Alumni – Arthur Flomo Kulah United Methodist School System. Special thanks go to Davis Mayer Chedar for his continuous contribution toward this initiative. Mr. Chedar provided in cash US$225.00 as payment for the 15 arm chairs he promised during our first Mass meeting. Mr. Chedar also provided additional US$25.00 for refreshment for this gone meeting; of which L$100.00 was used to provide Mineral Water and the balance was redirected toward the chair project.
On Sunday, October 30, 2016, 15 persons including the current principal, Rev. Ishmael Walkbuck gathered at 3:00pm on the school’s campus to discuss issues confronting the institution. The meeting was chaired by Emmanuel KD Koon and Co-chaired by Lasana L. Capps who also serve as secretary during the meeting due to protracted sickness of the Secretary General, Ted Kevin Yates.
Items on the agenda are as follow:
1. Call to Order
2. Opening Prayer
3. Self-Introduction
4. Welcome remarks
5. Reading & Adoption of Agenda
6. Reading & Adoption of Past Meeting Minutes
7. Matters arising from the Minutes
Business
8. Update on Chair Projects
9. General Discussion
10. Update on the upcoming Acquaintance Jamboree
11. General Discussion
12. AoB
13. Motion for Adjournment
14. Closing Prayer
A motion was filed by Lasana L. Capps that items number 6 and 7 be removed from the agenda since the Secretary General was seriously ill and he should be the one performing such task. Besides, the meeting minutes was in his possession since he got ill.
Self-introduction was done by all and Rev. Ishmael Walkbuck did the welcome remarks. At item 8 which has to do with the update on the chair project, this was done by the Financial Secretary (Treasure) and also the chairperson on the chair committee, Ms. Vivian S. Pour. Vivian informed the body that they have negotiated with Tamba Jusu “one of the Alumni” who has a wood shop around the Iron Gate area and they have concluded to pay US$300.00 as an advance payment toward the production of 50 Arm Chairs that should be ready and delivered on or before our next meeting. She further stated that due to slow payment, we could not purchase the entire 100 chairs at once as was promised. She also encourage those of us who have not made your contribution yet, to see reason in coming to the school aid. Tamba Jusu promised to provide 5 arm chairs after listening to the constraints we are facing in collecting everyone’s contribution. Followed by Alvin Gray who also promised to provide 2 Arm Chairs. Therefore, at our second meeting on November 13, 2016, we expect to have approximately 60 arm chairs to be donated to the school by the association.
At item 10 which has to do with update on the upcoming Acquaintance Jamboree, which should have been done by the chairman of that committee, Lasana B. Kanneh, due to his absence, Rev. Ishmael Walkbuck was able to speak to that. He mentioned that the Old and New student game is usually scheduled after the first Marking Period Test. He assumed that by the end of this week, the First Marking Period Test will be completed and that they could not come up with a specific date in the absence of the Association since we have asked to participate. Rev. Walkbuck further mentioned that they could not as well draft any budget in the absence of a representative of the Association. The body has agreed that Lasana B. Kanneh represents the association in drafting a tentative budget for the Acquaintance Jamboree. In order to support the Acquaintance Jamboree, Tamba Jusu has pledged US$20.00 as his contribution toward the budget and to be picked up on or before the 15 of November.
At AoB, almost everyone expressed their dissatisfaction on the abuse of the group chart which is leading to many persons leaving the chart room. According to Desterlyn Allen, she thinks the group chart is intended to discuss issues relating to the Institution or the Association but rather it has been used to discuss football games, private conversation, religious post and sometime misunderstanding amongst others. She further said it is irritating to be busy at work and read message from the group chart that has no relevant to the School nor the Association. She further mentioned that if this continue, we will have more people leaving the chart room. Finally, she has advice that the chart room be used to discuss issues relating to the Association and or the School. Also at AoB, Alvin Gray expressed his disappointment for leaving the group chart which is similar to what Desterlyn Allen mentioned. He added by saying, he was personally attacked in the group chart by Alexander Slight.
The meeting was adjourn and the closing prayer was done by Vivian S. Pour.

Summary
1. The association has given US$300.00 to a vendor as an
advance payment for 50 Arm Chairs
2. Tamba Jusu pledged 5 chairs to be added to the 50 chairs
3. Alvin Gray pledged 2 chairs
4. During our next meeting on November 13, 2016, we expect to
donate approximately 60 Chairs to the School.
5. There is serious constraints in collecting everyone
contribution. (Members are not paying toward this initiative)
6. The association is to participate in the Old and New student
game. Meaning we will be kicking dust. As such, we are
asking all energetic men and women to join us in beating
whosoever come our way.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN (LASANA L. CAPPS)

Greetings to members of the fourth estate.
I am kindly dispose, overwhelm and contented to serve as chairman of this hardworking and energetic body. I must first commend all of you guys for coming together and giving me your support in driving this goal to fruition, which is to give back to our Alma Mater. I bring to you a passionate appeal that I think, when accepted, will lead us to our desire result.
Comrades, one major reason why the group chart was established was to discuss issues relating to the association and the school. Another reason was a means of reconnecting friends who had not been seen for a while. In this light, I am kindly appealing to everyone to please hold unto those reasons for which the chart room was created and stop posting religious materials since we all are from different religious background, I also want to appeal that every private or personal issues be taken to one’s private page rather than the group chart. It is often stated that united we stand, divided we fall, if things fall apart, the center will no longer hold. I feel somehow disappointed, frustrated, embarrassed and sometime don’t know what to do when I see or read chart of few professional people in the group chart making serious confusion and sometime using words on each other. Comrades, if we must succeed, the first thing we need here is unity, peace, love and even respecting your friend’s view. I want to use this public medium to call on all members of this association to kindly hold unto the norms of this organization and compose themselves in a manner to attract more people to this group as compare to exhibiting those attitudes that is now taking people out of the chart room. Comrades, we must unite to succeed, we must support to leave a legacy, we must participate be a role model. This is a cause that we have subscribed to and we must up hold to these norms for a desire result.
Thanks.

Briefing from the first Mass Meeting of the Conscious Alumni of the Bishop Arthur Flomo Kulah United Methodist School System held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 on the School’s Campus at about 4:00pm.
On Sunday, September 11, 2016, 38 Conscious members of the Alumni Association of the Arthur F. Kulah United Methodist School System including the current Principal, Mr. Ishmael Walkbuck gathered on the school’s campus to discuss issues affecting the school and to remedy those issues. 4. Self-introduction – The Audience

8. What should be our first initiative in terms of project or donation to the school – The Audience
9. Regular Meeting – The Audience
a. Date
b. Time
c. Venue
d. Meeting Due
10. Strategy to maintain and move the organization forward
a. Financial support
b. Membership
11. AOB – The Audience
12. Benediction
In observance of item 5 on the agenda, the below are confronting issues affecting the institution as outlined by Rev. Ishmael Walkbuck.
1. Some teachers were not paid for up to seven months
2. The principal has not taken pay since he took over in February 2016
3. The school has a debt of over 1milloin Liberia dollars
4. There are insufficient arm chairs for the students
Meanwhile, given the numerous challenges, Rev. Walkbuck has devised these strategies to attract student to the school:
1. Reactivating the press club, quizzing team, football and kickball teams
2. Providing free education to those in the kindergarten
3. Calling on Alumni who are available to help provide voluntary teaching to reduce the huge payroll of the school.
The body outlined several things to be done in getting the school back to status quo. Some of wish include:
1. Having an Alumni, Teachers and student rally;
2. Inviting political leaders and aspirant on our campus to solicit funding;
3. Providing arm chairs to meet the total enrollment;
4. Carrying on some renovation on the building as portion of the building is currently leaking.
5. Giving the out sketch of the building a beautiful face look by painting
However, due to the financial constraints confronting our society, the body has decided to address the basic need of the given challenges which is to provide 100 arm chairs for the school. In so doing, the body has resolved to task an Alumni a minimum of one arm chair or its equivalent of US$15.00 on or before Saturday, October 15, 2016 to be able to meet up with our commitment.
Folks, I want to use this medium to extend thanks and appreciation to one of our colleague in person of ALBERT G. TOKPA who contributed US$100.00 in cash to initiate the fulfilment of our commitment. Ladies and Gentlemen, the body has agreed to meet twice a month (Second Sunday and Last Sunday at 3:00pm on the school’s campus). The body noted that our frequent meeting will booze our zest in meeting our goal.
These are the committee member you can contact to provide your chair or its equivalent.

FINANCIAL UPDATE
Initially, the leadership drafted a tentative budget of US$350.00 for publicity and refreshment for the just ended first mass meeting. Unfortunately, we were only able to collect US$80.00 of which US$35.00 was used for publicity with balance of US$45.00. During the meeting, because of the urgent need of the school, the body in it reasonable mind decided to forgo the refreshment and add the US$45.00 to the US$100.00 that was given by ALBERT G. TOKPA amounting to US$145.00 to kick start the process of negotiating for the 100 chairs.
Due to time factor, all the items on the agenda could not be discussed. Items ranging from Meeting Due, Strategies to maintain and move the organization forward, financial support, Membership and AOB were deferred to the next meeting.
