The official page for Chance Henry for State Representative, Louisiana House District 42
Our family is feeling a little extra thankful as we look forward to what 2024 has in store. Taylor, the kids, and I are excited about this new role as your representative. From our family to yours, a very happy Thanksgiving!
It was a great day having the chance to speak to the Leadership EXCEL class today. Enjoyed sitting on the panel with other local leaders. Perseverance seemed to be the theme of the panel after we all discussed our backgrounds and what brought us to where we are today. Looking forward to see what this years class of Leadership Excel graduates do in the future!
Taylor and I were proud to cast our early votes for my dad, Keith Henry, and other conservative champions on the ballot on the first day of early voting!
My dad is the reason I fell in love with serving people and being involved in government. He’s a go-getter and always has been. For those of you in District 3 - Mermentau, Morse, Midland, Estherwood, Lyons Point, South Crowley, and Bayou Bend - I’d appreciate your consideration of him when voting!
Get out and make your voices heard.
Wrapping up this election could not happen without a proper thank you to all of those who made this success possible. There are so many to thank that this video took quite a minute, but I couldn't have done this without all of you! I'm looking forward to taking office in January and getting to work for Louisiana, District 42.
We will be going round district 42 picking up our signs in the early part of this week. If you’d like to keep your sign please be sure and get it picked up. If not, we’ll be by soon to collect them.
Thanks again to everyone who has allowed us to put a sign!

Taylor and I have truly enjoyed getting out and getting to know more of you during the past year of this campaign, and we are so grateful to all of you who have helped us reach this finish line in full force. We owe so much to this great community of ours, and I look forward to serving you as your next State Representative. I humbly ask for your vote this Saturday!
This weekend took us from a country concert benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Acadiana, to the Germanfest in Roberts Cove, to a fun day at the St. John & St. Margaret Fall Bazaar! It was an honor to put the auction skills to use for BGC of Acadiana and our church to raise almost $100,000 between the two events.
We are one week away from Election Day, October 14th. We are ready for this home stretch!
2 days left for early voting! Polls are open from 8:30 am - 6:00 pm tonight and tomorrow, October 7th.
Don’t forget you can bring your kids along for the process!
Busy weekend for us, hitting four events on Saturday! First we attended the Estherwood Park Fest, where I had the opportunity to auctioneer for them. We headed to the Iota Fall Fest, an event in Rayne, and rounded out at a banquet in Crowley.
John Keith surprised us all by requesting the mic and saying the blessing, a very sweet moment for his mom and I!
We’re in the home stretch. Don’t forget to early vote through Saturday, October 7.
Saturday was such a surreal moment. I had the opportunity to be on the ballot with my dad, and on the same page at that! Then I got to see my son, John Keith, push those buttons for both of us. Definitely one of the most memorable, proud, and thankful moments of my life!
Early voting is still going on through this Saturday, go vote!
Early Voting starts tomorrow!

This is what can happen when constituents speak up about issues and make the call to their elected officials. This is a great example of multiple agencies working together to create real solutions.
We received several complaints about the safety of this intersection. After escalation to LA DOTD and appropriate studies conducted, the intersection of LA 91 and LA 100 will become a four way stop after installation of the two additional stop signs on Monday 10/2/2023.
I think by now you’ve seen the whole gang but I really would be remiss if I didn’t introduce my backbone! This race is an effort from my whole family and I couldn’t be more thankful.
My wife, Taylor, and I met when we were 14 years old. We remained friends for many years and reconnected in 2014. We were married in 2016 and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. Businesses, babies, elections, a home remodel - you name it. We work side by side every day and consider it a privilege to do so.
Our son John Keith (named after his Papop, myself, and his cousin, Parker) was born in 2018. He is all boy, all the time. Rough, messy, and full of life. He keeps his mom and I on our toes with his intelligence, humor, and wit. When I ran for office the first time in 2019, he was a baby. So, getting to see him so active in this campaign and truly enjoy it is a gift.
Our baby girl, Edith Kate, was born in 2020. She was a silver lining we all needed after Hurricanes Laura and Delta had rolled through. She is tough, independent, and opinionated - which makes this daddy proud!
My parents, sister, brother-in-law, nephews, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends are also so vital to this campaign. They never hesistate to show up and support in whatever way is asked. I’m a lucky man to have so many in my corner and look forward to October 14th when we can stand in victory together!
Saturday was a busy day in Downtown Crowley! We set up shop for Kid’s Day with a bubble zone and got to visit with so many families. Meanwhile, just down the road, the cooking team was working on a shrimp and egg stew for the International Rice Festival’s Annual Rice and Gravy Cook-Off! It was hot but it was a fun one. The campaign rolls on!

For the last few weeks leading up to the election, I want nothing more than for the people of this community to get to know more about me and my background as someone who plans to be your voice at the State Capitol.
I proudly registered with the Republican Party when I was 18 years old, and I've worked to promote strong, conservative values in my home and in my community ever since. I hope to bring that passion for a smaller government and more empowered electorate with me to the Capitol as your voice.
If you see me walking the town, feel free to come chat. We also hope to see a lot of familiar faces at Crowley Main Street's Kid Day on Main Street tomorrow morning!
On the campaign trail, I'm given many opportunities to speak to voters about my views and answer questions. The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce and the One Acadiana team hosted a great forum earlier this month for all local, Parish, and district offices that include Acadia Parish voters. It was a great night and I'm honored to have been given the chance to talk to those in attendance.
Let me know if you were there. I’m always open to hearing your thoughts.
Honored to have received the endorsement of the Acadia Parish Republican Party.
This group ensures conservative values are upheld in Acadia Parish and I’m humbled to have their vote of confidence. I look forward to being a strong, conservative voice for you in Baton Rouge.
My nephews and several other members of Midland High FFA came out to take part in this process and hear from elected officials. I’ve said it before, seeing young people take an interest in our government is one of the best parts of this campaign!

I'm honored to receive an endorsement from Louisiana Right to Life. I've said many times that one of my core beliefs is that our children are the future and protecting them is a priority - that protection starts in the womb as we love, support, and care for them and their mothers.
Spent Saturday afternoon visiting with voters in Rayne and found the perfect intersection for my baby girl - Edith Henry!

I was asked to call bids for the annual Lloyd Nickel Golf Tournament Calcutta this past Saturday night. It was a great time cutting up with these guys and watching them rack up the purse for the weekend. If y’all have never checked out our gem in Crowley, Bayou Bend Country Club, do yourself a favor. Oh, and get a burger!

Seeing everyone at Wedneday night's meet and greet was exciting and humbling all at once. Thank you to everyone who showed up. We're ready for October 14th and we hope y'all are, too!
A special thanks to my family and close friends who made this event possible. From the cooks to the smiling faces at the door, and a lot in between, the people who helped put this on are Taylor and I's backbone. We couldn't do it without them!
Qualifying ✅
This morning I officially inked a decision that was made over a year ago. The decision to pursue the legislature and serve District 42! Excited for this milestone and looking forward to the next two months.
This year was a little extra special, I was able to qualify alongside my dad, who is also seeking election to public office. His involvement in campaigns and public service is what sparked my love for it. A full circle moment!
Eatin’ local at Frosto's Diner-Crowley on this beautiful Friday!
I’m honored to have the endorsement from the Louisiana Committee for a Conservative Majority, LCCM, chaired by US Senator John Kennedy. Being a strong, conservative voice for the families of District 42 is, and will continue to be, my number one priority.
A fundraising double header!
Taylor and I enjoyed visiting with everyone and supporting Assumption Catholic Church in Mire on Friday night. Saturday morning we hit Bayou Bend to support Golfing for Gracie. Our friends Sydney and Mae kept everyone hydrated and the family even joined me for a little bit to pass out some beverages, too.
A great weekend supporting two worthy causes!
