We stand United Against Hate.. The disgusting Racism and Islamophobia of the far-right that we have witnessed online and in our communities has no place in our society. We stand in solidarity with all migrant and minoritised groups and communities in the UK.

🏆 We are delighted to have made a contribution with our lived experience as towards the focus group for ‘Performing
Anxiety’, an ambitious new good practice resource for anyone who wants to make live artistic work about health.

It covers everything from autobiographical shows about anxiety and depression to participatory projects working with vulnerable people.

Performing Anxiety draws on expertise of professional artists across the UK who have made groundbreaking work in this field, including performance artist , maverick artist and activist the vacuum cleaner, Mariem Omari of Bijli Productions and theatre-maker

The resource exists in various forms — a podcast, a publication, two specially commissioned written provocations by Selina Thompson and the vacuum cleaner, a set of good practice guidelines, and interviews with artists, all available from today at the website:
https://www.mhfestival.com/explore/performing-anxiety/

Performing Anxiety is supported by the Baring Foundation

Celebrating and thinking of all those suffering around the world today.

Let’s stamp out stigma together and call for more access to services for treatment.

Let’s remember this - that everyone is recovering from something - we are all human and exquisitely vulnerable.

Love, acceptance, an end to isolation and prejudice.

Comfort the lonely, connect with the despairing , reach out for help and assistance. Share your time, nurture a sense of belonging. 🤍🤍🤍
