BUFFALO, NY - Auditions TODAY for October production

AUDITION IF YOU DARE
This weekend First Look Buffalo will be holding auditions for their annual short play festival. Actors are asked to prepare a one minute monologue as well as read sides from the shows.

Auditions will be held Saturday August 26 from 1pm - 5pm and Sunday August 27 from 10am - 2pm at St. Mary's High School, 142 Laverack Avenue, Lancaster, New York 14086. Please email [email protected] with your availability for auditions this weekend.

The Performances will be at The Canterberry Woods Performing Arts Center, 705 Renaissance Drive, Williamsville, NY 14221 October 6, 7, 12, 13, 19, 20, and 21!

The plays included are written by local playwrights Donna Hoke, Drew Fornarola, and Bella Poynton as well playwrights from around the country Sean Abley, Jeff Goode, Adam Hahn, Wendy-Marie Martin, Avery LaMar Pope, and Breana Venably. First Look Buffalo Theatre Company, dedicated to the development and production of new plays, has just wrapped up a highly successful first season! Transgender issues are timely topics from so-called "Bathroom Bills" introduced in various states to the recent negative social media reaction by some after Bud Light supported Trans Tik-Tok influencer, Dylan Mulvaney. And just this last weekend SNL's first non-binary cast member made a strong statement of support for medical availability for trans kids. So, little by little, transgender topics are becoming mainstream and this play might help move some conversations forward."
