Bonfire time of the year!.... When it's raining. Did a few small burn-offs and I'm sure we showed the neighbours for hours. The shadow of the marshmallow? That was the size of a kittens head.

The annual amount has been reduced to 40 but I'm happy to receive the maximum limit.
I've put more thought this year into what I would like to attract more birds mainly.
All this species I've chosen were ones that used to grow in this area and that still some do, based off surrounding bushland and national parks around us and books including previous maps used before any houses were built to revegetate the block with small to low-lying shrubs that are missing from the area that are crucial to have the healthy bush block.

Winter time is very important for self-care. Due to the decreased levels of vitamin d that you get from the sun and the amount of sunlight we get per day depression and negative thoughts increase because of this so keeping on top of your self-care and looking after yourself and your family is very important.

New Winter additions to the winter wardrobe. I did see an Alaia jacket which is pretty rare to find, But it was much razzle dazzle for me, even though it was in the appropriate shades of warm greys.
Was feeling extremely unwell from a migraine this morning so I decided to go home. Could potentially make some bad clothing purchases if I'm feeling unwell.😆

Yes subscribers and friends where it's time to clean out the pastry and get it ready for new cupboard moths and to rearrange the pantry so your family cannot find what they previously used last week! 😆
Attempting to get my pantry from this in the first image... to that in the second image. Sadly the first image looks like MasterChef contestants have attacked it So I'm halfway there and we shall discover what goodies have been pushed into the back of the pantry.
Hopefully soon not expired chocolate will be found!

Beautiful winter fungus finally growing in our garden.

Another done off the bucket list. We have created a bucket list of things to do together (daughter and I) that we really want to try.

Last week we made prawn crackers together. She was too scared to go anywhere near hot water, oil or hot cooking pots so having her in the kitchen coming together wasn't an option before.

To the soap we added candy cane essential oil and then we 'attempted ' to add the gold leaf. The images made things look so easy. Little did we know that it sticks to literally everything. So now we not only have gold leaf soap but we also have gold leaf, floor, microwave, skin and bench!
But I've learnt off Masterchef that you're meant to use tweezers or similar so I think I'll read more about how to successfully handle gold leaf without it trying to fly away or stick to my entire palm.
We did end up with gold fingers, so of course we couldn't help ourselves and sing the 007 song Goldfinger!

Last weekend's adventures

Before and after photos. The paint colour is actually a pale sage and had a satin clear coat on top. Very hard even with using AI and a good camera to get realistic colours show without having to use Photoshop.

It's all happening today! Getting new door screens put in again quotes for a window and new shower screens. Thank you your work is amazing as usual.
