Randoragon GameDev

Randoragon's Game Development Page Hello folks, my name is Randoragon. I'm a rookie game developer who started his adventure with programming in mid 2015.

My strong suit for a long time was GameMaker: Studio 2, but then I got bored and now I'm fiddling with pure C, Linux shell and maybe Python.

Release Update 1.2.1 · Randoragon/myriad-blitz 06/08/2021

Well hello there. It's that time of year again. The time to update Myriad Blitz.
But don't worry. This is just a superpatch. Not as small as a regular patch, but not quite significant enough to be called an update.

Get 1.2.1 "superpatch" here: https://gamejolt.com/games/myriad_blitz/309036..or here: https://randoragon.itch.io/myriad-blitz..better yet, why not here: https://github.com/Randoragon/myriad-blitz/releases/tag/v1.2.1

full release notes available in the last link above (GitHub).

Cheers

Release Update 1.2.1 · Randoragon/myriad-blitz After finding out about some serious bugs in the 1.2.0 release, I knew I would have to come back and fix them in a small patch update. Then I started playtesting again and kept on finding little th...

I've been playing with the simulation and debugging along the way, here's another useless demo I thought looked fun. I'm probably going to work on optimizing the main loop next, because a simple "simulate, render, wait" approach is not cutting it anymore.

Happy New Year! I'm not dead, and I have been making baby steps progress over the past couple of months, mostly improving my libraries (migrated to https://github.com/Randoragon/rnd-libs).

Right now, however, I happen to be on a bit of a longer break, so I've been doing some more serious development and I have an improved version of the demo I presented in my previous post. Successfully implemented animated sprites and basic image manipulation (resizing, rotation, etc.). Don't mind the placeholder sprite, it's been recycled for presentation purposes.
