Half skull Van Gogh inspired makeup look I made a while ago! Picked up my brushes with an idea but not a set plan and honestly I love how it turned out 😍 I always have a good time painting anything Van Gogh related
*Alexa, play Without Me by Eminem*
Ohhhh heyyyy, I'm back to share more makeup shenanigans! Just a lil She Hulk inspired glam look I created a while ago 🌚 though the tv show was alright when I saw it, but when I looked more into her character in the comics, I had a bit more appreciation for the show, even with its differences from the original story.
PS get ready for lots of makeup spam 😉 I have some catching up to do with posting. Happy to be back playing with makeup again 😊
Getting back at it 🎃🎨
Got my first pumpkin cold brew of the year from Starbucks and now I am so ready for fall. Had fun getting in my paints again and experimenting with lighting 🙂
PS thanks to those who have been asking about my painting. Sometimes you just need that push 💕

Anyone else excited for the new Joker movie/hoping DC pulls off something good this time?? Happy to get back to painting, it’s been too long 🖤🎨
Hey y’all! Here are some progress pictures from 3 of my Christmas paints! Hope everyone has had a good start to the new year 🤗 I’ve definitely been enjoying the time off school. Planning to jump back on the makeup train soon, once I’m done cleaning and resetting my space at home. Is there anything you’d like to see me paint this year?? Let me know!
“Oh, there’s an empty place in my bones, that calls out for something unknown.” 💀
The final look in my Christmas series: Night(mare) Before Christmas, (hah, puns) Jack Skellington with a festive pin striped suit! I’ve been wanting to paint Jack for soooo long & thought Christmas would be the perfect time to do it. If you celebrate, I hope you have a happy holiday! Thanks for all the love on my Christmas makeup series y’all 💚🎄
Look number 8 of my Christmas makeup series: Christmas lights! I’ve seen this done many different times, but still wanted to give my go at it. I’d say my main inspiration was Madeyewlook by Lex and the lights in Stranger Things.
Sadly, because of all the last minute Christmas shopping I’ve had to do, & family events all day tomorrow & on Christmas Day, I will be posting my final look in the series tomorrow evening. I hate to cut it short, but I’d rather post looks I enjoy and am proud that I made, instead of half doing 4 more just to say I made it to 12. Regardless, I am so happy I tried out this series. I learned that A LOT goes into planning for a series like this. And I know what to change next time I try an extensive series. I’ve always been amazed at the artists who do a look every single day of October for Halloween. Hoping to try something similar for next year. Anyway, thank you to everyone for your support!
Look number 7 of my 12 days of Christmas makeup series: C H E R R Y P I E 🍒
This wasn’t originally in my plan for my makeup series, but I’m not really feeling the holidays this year to be honest, I’m more excited for the food next week 😋 so I thought I’d switch it up! What’s your favorite pie to have around the holidays? Mine is definitely apple or peach, I don’t even like cherry 😂😂
Day 6 of my 12 days of Christmas makeup series: peppermint skull, a recreation of work by Katie Cole!! 💀
You can find her instagram here: http://www.instagram.com/fancyflutie
Her work is seriously so awesome and inspiring! I knew I wanted to include a peppermint skull in my series, but once I saw hers I knew I had to try to recreate it. This is probably one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever done. It was quite the challenge considering I’ve never tried to paint ribs or anything like that on my chest. But it was the challenge I needed! It was awesome to just get lost in my art for hours. Also, since I love anatomy so much, this was such a fun paint! For all of my x-ray friends out there, this is not 100% anatomically correct, but I tried 😂
PS I always think it’s interesting how lighting can change the whole appearance of your look
“The cold never bothered me anyway.”
❄️❄️❄️
Day 5 of my 12 days of Christmas makeup series: frozen Elsa!! I loveeee how this turned out. I am so glittery the pictures don’t do it justice 😂
Day 4 of my 12 days of Christmas makeup series: Elf on the Shelf! This could be the creepiest makeup I’ve ever done 😂😂 although one day I would like to have one of these dolls to make creepy Christmas scenes out of. Also, let me tell you, painting eyes over your eyes feels like when your eyeliner is uneven, so you keep making each wing thicker until they’re close. They are definitely sisters, not twins 🤷🏼♀️ Hoping to get more practice “hiding” my eyes in the future. Inspired by the lovely Madeyewlook by Lex ❤️
Day 3 of my 12 days of Christmas makeup series: a Christmas sweater! I got the idea from Madeyewlook by Lex but had to give it an impressionist/Van Gogh twist! He’s one of my favorites if you haven’t figured it out yet 😂💚
Day 2 of my 12 days of Christmas makeup series: sugar plum fairy! S/O to my gorgeous sister for being such a patient model the other day! 😂💜 hard to believe I’ve been doing weird art for years and this was my first time painting her. PS purple is your color 😉
Excited to announce that I am launching a 12 days of Christmas makeup series!! I am putting my Marvel series on hold until after the holidays. A new look will be coming your way everyday from now until Christmas 🌚 so today is day 1: wearable Christmas glam. This is probably the only wearable look I will be posting 😂😂 I’m excited for this series and to see how much I can challenge myself. Stay tuned for some exciting things 😏
“This is fine. I’m okay with the events that are unfolding currently.”
This one goes out to every other student suffering through finals this week 🙃 for the burn on my hand I followed a Glam&Gore tutorial and for the burn on my face I followed a tutorial by queenkingsfx. Had a lot of fun incorporating beauty, paint, and latex into this one. Hoping to learn more about creating burns in the future!

Here is my Deadpool pictorial! Had a lot of fun painting him and embracing his sass 💁🏼♀️ really excited for the Deadpool Christmas movie coming out later this month 🙂
“Oh, hello there! I bet you’re wondering, why the red suit? Well, that’s so bad guys can’t see me bleed!”

I had soooo much fun creating Deadpool. I’ve been challenging myself a lot lately not only with superhero costumes, but painting down on my arms and chest, which is something I haven’t done a lot of in the past. Especially not with clothing. I’m realizing it takes a lot more time and patience than just the face 😂 PS did you know Deadpool is coming out with a Christmas movie this year?? Extras and a pictorial will be up in a few days 🌚

There will be another Marvel character coming your way this weekend 😎 he wears a red suit but he’s not your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Any guesses? 😏
“I am Thor, son of Odin, God of Thunder.” ⚡️
Products used will be tagged in my next post! 🤗
WARNING sappy post ahead: this was definitely one of the more challenging paintings I’ve made. I’ve never painted armor/metal and they were certainly difficult. I couldn’t figure out how to get the colors right to save my life. I’ve also never tried to contour my face to look like another person’s. This also proved to be difficult. (More difficult than all those YouTube videos make it out to be 😂) Although this didn’t turn out how I would have liked it to, I’m still proud of the progress I’m making. Being disappointed in my work kept me from painting for a long time. It drained any creativity I had, because all I could think is that my work would never be able to become what I imagined in my head. And being an artist is not about being perfect at new techniques every time you try them, or the first time you try them. It’s about learning and making mistakes and constantly challenging yourself. I’m on a new journey with my body paint; to keep going even when I’m disappointed and to stop being so self critical of my work. Not everything will be perfect. It’s about the process, not always the end result. And from my painting today, I’ve learned two new things I’d like to improve upon and play around with more in the future. If you’re still reading, thanks for all of you who follow me, support me, and enjoy my work. It makes my day to know that my paintings can make you all happy. It’s not everyday you get to be surrounded by people who love when you take off your clothes and paint your body 😂 but seriously. Tonight I’m feeling thankful. PS ily @ Chris Hemsworth. PPS enjoy these very manly photos of me, it’s the first time I’ve had a beard too 😉
Here is a pictorial of my baby Groot paint! Love how this turned out. It is cool to look back and watch him come to life 🙂
I am Groot 🍃🌿 baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy 2! Had so much fun with this paint! Keep an eye out for more Marvel characters coming your way over the next few weeks as a Stan Lee tribute 🌚❤️
Had so much fun painting up Katie as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas for a Halloween party!!
Contact me if you’re looking for someone to do your Halloween makeup 😏
Close up of a half skull from a Halloween party this past weekend because I was feeling 👏🏼 my👏🏼self
New paint inspired by Vincent Van Gogh and this painting of him that’s been floating around social media for mental health awareness 💛
About Alyssa
Originally from Dayton, Ohio. Currently an X-ray student in Cincinnati, Ohio. Self taught body painter/makeup artist.
You could say I’ve always been crazy about art, ever since I was a kid. Sketching, knitting, scrapbooking, painting, crocheting, etc. You name it, I probably tried to teach myself how to do it. Art was my way of expressing myself, and escaping reality, even if only for a little while. My love for beauty makeup and hairstyling happened when I hit middle school. It was the next creative outlet I found in my life. And in high school, I was that friend who did everyone’s hair and makeup for dances. Even for a few weddings of family and close friends! I enjoyed every minute of it. I stumbled across body painting and SFX makeup in 2012. One night of playing with old Halloween makeup and I was hooked. My painting began to take off in 2014, when I started really practicing and trying to create new creatures. Makeup and painting have become not only therapeutic for me, but my favorite way to express myself. There is honestly nothing like coming home after a long day, and transforming into some kind of character. It is my hope to spread joy to others through this work, and to meet other artists with similar interests.
