Update:
The pillars of light *were* visible all over Vermont. This particular photo was not taken in Vermont. It was taken eight years ago in Norway by a photographer named Greg Tomaszewicz. Yesterday someone was incorrectly circulating it and attributing it to the Jay Peak resort. Accidents happen and I assure you that the Real Vermont cares deeply about authenticity and wasn’t trying to dupe anyone. Have a happy holidays!
