I read somewhere that you can combat the issue of surfactant leaching on durable matt emulsion if the paint is allowed to fully cure for 2 weeks. We have this exact issue in our ensuite and im so not a fan of shiny bathroom paint! No ventilation issues just a small area with steam. No better time than now to test the theory! Freshly painted and we are off on our holibobs for a couple of weeks so let's see if what I read is correct!
Sadly the green had to go on this feature wall. It had been chipped at the bottom and we didn't have any left over paint to repair it. So Little Greene Tea with Florence it now is 😊
Kitchen refresh completed this week! Walls and ceiling in Dulux Timeless and woodwork in Dulux Satinwood. Lovely clients as always ❤️
Before, during, a colour change mid way and after! We stripped all walls and treated to try and solve the mould issue, stain blocked all the walls, did a lot of filling! And sanding. Did a first coat of the colour for the client to decide they didn't like it so changed to a preferred colour (it's ok to change your mind and we would rather you told us so we can give you what you really want) 4 coats later I still don't like Farrow & Ball paint and reminds me why I usually refuse to paint with it. But ta da! The final result was worth it and client is over the moon with their new bedroom
Papering a feature wall in just over 1 min! Sadly it took a fair bit longer in real life 🤣
2 bedrooms completed this week for our lovely clients who kept us well stocked with cups of tea 🍵 😊 forgot to take any before photos much to our clients dismay but I promise both rooms look totally different to when we arrived on Monday!
Before and after dresser reincarnation. This dresser actually started off life as a Welsh pine dresser, we then painted the whole thing in Bone China Blue. It then moved house and the top was removed to make it a sideboard which we have now repainted in this gorgeous Portland Stone Dark by Little Greene and it been given another new lease of life! Just goes to show you should reuse not buy new 😊
Before and after! Our client chose these colours to see her son into his teens. The wardrobes required some serious sanding, but we got there in the end
Before and after study refresh today. The client loved the original colour so we did it all over again!
From drab and dated to warm and inviting. We sprinkled our fairy dust over this lovely lounge just love the new wallpaper 😍
This giant hallway didn't look too bad at a first glance but there were lots of hairline cracks on the downstairs walls all raked out and filled. Walls and woodwork were given a much warmer feel with the ever popular slaked lime mid on both (little greene)
Before and after of this kitchen revamp. So much lighter and brighter!
Little feature wallpaper we squeezed in this afternoon for one delighted little boy 👦 😀
Back to it with a bang! A little bit more special than our usual clients as this is my sons house. It's only a rental but got our usual sprinkle of fairy dust to make it a home
Busy few weeks transforming this hallway, bathroom and wardrobes for our lovely client! Hallway ceilings in little greene slaked lime, walls and woodwork in slaked lime mid and staircase in slaked lime. Doesn't it look gorgeous!
Kitchen/Diner and Utility Room completed last week. Some death defying ladder work was needed! But we managed it and I'm still alive to tell the tale 🤣 isn't it a stunning space!
Last job of the week. Full kitchen diner repaint. It had been a while since it was last done so made a fabulous transformation!
Second room of the week required quite a bit of filling, sanding and caulking but looking so much lighter and brighter now!
Decorating is definitely a process. We had to add some missing coving and skirting before we could start this room. We discussed with the client and decided on matching skirting boards and door frames with the walls. The finished look is just lovely and they are over the moon
Same colours, same house, different bedroom! Such a lovely fresh updated look 😍
Smashing it into the new year 😊 ceiling and woodwork in little greene loft white, walls slaked lime. Quite a lot of prep needed on this bedroom as it hadn't been painted in quite a while! Now lovely and fresh and ready for its new additional when she arrives 👶 as always its the little things that make all the difference, we cleaned all of the residual paint from the sockets and wiped the ceiling pendant wires. We also rehung the door as new carpets has been fitted and adjusted it so it no longer hits the frame (not usually in our remit but it was bugging me!)
And that a wrap! Quite literally wrapped the room in wall paper! Now to chill out for Christmas 🎄
My sons bedroom, well it was his bedroom before he moved away, it's now pink 🤣 new flooring (wasnt on the to do list until we moved his bed and saw the disaster of his carpet!), wardrobe doors and walls. We now have a lovely calming spare room but it will always be referred to as Sam's Room
'Grannies Room' before and after! We had a few bits of filling and a couple of damp issues to sort but it's now looking much lighter and brighter!
Before and After! From building site to bo***ir!
Even when we're on holiday we just can't keep away from a paintbrush 🤣 before and afters of this lovely revamp and restyle 😊 it was definitely interesting using unfamiliar paint too!
The final room in a house we have been making a home room by room over the last year. Just the flooring to go in and the house is complete! Really love this colour too! Dulux Heritage Dusted Heather. We stripped the walls, did an incredible amount of filling and sanding, mistcoated and painted the ceiling and finally painted the walls. So pleased with the finished look it's so cosy and homely
Such a lovely vibe in this freshly white bedroom 😍 and just to switch it up a bit we papered the wardrobe so it's now incognito!
lovely refresh on this tired dining room. ceilings and woodwork in brilliant white and walls in Dulux Jasmine White
