The Dementia Spotlight Foundation provides dementia resources, education and community for those living with dementia and their care partners. With the mission of no one facing this journey alone, the organization offers a wide range of programs and resources to help individuals and their families navigate life before loss.
The Dementia Spotlight Foundation received a grant from PAN ~ Pasco Aging Network last year that allowed them to continue their mission by providing Dementia Awareness classes to Pasco County first responders and family caregivers. This included five Dementia Awareness classes for the Pasco County Sheriffβs Office, two for Pasco Fire and Rescue, and an Understanding Dementia care seminar in both the Land O Lakes and New Port Richey Public Library. They also provided lectures to students in the nursing, radiology and psychology programs at Keiser University New Port Richey Campus.
We are so grateful to The Dementia Spotlight Foundation and PAN for their collaborative work to care for our older adults in Pasco County! Thank you to ALL of our community partners, stakeholders and government officials that care about the wellbeing of our older adults!
