I am still new to this deep sea jigging stuff...but so far so good. Have been fortunate enough to land decent fish on every trip (3) so far. Really enjoy the challenges and the mystery of what you'll pull up from the depths. Can't wait for the next adventure dropping jigs into the deep!

•First one for the season...hopefully it's a sign of more things to come!❄️ this nice snapper nudging just over 75cm tall n the measure mat... from a recent fishing trip, where we fished close to the coast only a few minutes from the haven.

My first time catching arrowhead squid. This lot caught with a few casts at the 3 kings islands, cool creatures to target and these ones were so aggressive! A bit taxing on my lures tho 😅 check out the teeth I pulled from their suckers.. 😳 🦷
These squid were very tasty to eat! Can't wait to get back home and catch some more squid this season 🦑

After a frustrating morning on Topwater Kingfish... a slight change in tactics to flick a softbait out and try my luck produced this nice fish from the kingfish school below... and managed to dodge the sharks...which seem to be prolific on the reefs lately.. 🦈

Frostfish is normally found in deep water (200+m). However, they come shallower waters too.

They are predatory fish and love hitting a metal jig.

They can be great bait and can also be great eating having soft white flesh.

Finally caught my first ever Blue Nose... and what a fish! 🐟 Even more fun to catch it on a jig and on pe3 line! Such a good fight down deep 💪🏽

First time Deep Sea Jigging last week and wow! The bite was HOT 🔥 and we were nailing fish before even getting to the bottom on most drops!
Insane fishing... can't wait to go again soon.
