What a day. A queue pretty much to the toy shop next door all day, it’s definitely felt like bank holiday today!!!

As we move into the Easter period this post may not be a surprise to many who follow me but this is a clarification of why from a business sense we support CASH.

Over the last few years we have had internet problems , power cuts , water pressure issues all which are out of our control but impact on business continuation. We try to keep a level of business going throughout these challenges and to do so CASH is crucial.

People moan when internet problems occur or card terminals are not responding (out of our control) but don't carry cash.

Regarding Card payments costs - for us every transaction costs us 11p so buy a cup of tea it's 11p off our income gone , buy a bag of crisps 11p gone spend £50 on a meal and drinks it's 11p + 0.07% so ( 46p - reasonable) so PLEASE PLEASE think about using CASH for small payments. Using cards for small transactions means we like many premises have to include these losses in our price changes.

Last year our card processing costs and card terminal charges amounted to over £5k which if we didn't have to pay would reduce costs by 1.5%.

When we pop into the town to buy locally which we do often we predominantly use cash so we can support locally without us receiving cash we can't do that. Those small local items we buy regularly.

These are strong business reasons for cash but also Cash allows us all freedoms that can't be controlled by others

The Ferry boat is 5 mins walk from the caravan just on the way to the beach. Lovely pub, now doing bar meals and weekend entertainment.

The entertainment Store. Spanish City Feb 2024. A mega collection of all kinds of music. Well worth a visit.
