Here’s how to make the switch…
Pivoting your default to curiosity versus judgement requires a perspective change from a knowing mindset to a learning mindset. With a knowing mindset, you assume you understand things and draw conclusions without seeking further information through inquiry. With a learning mindset, you approach each situation with an open mind and ask questions to glean more information.
A learning mindset will not manifest overnight; it will require you to work towards reframing your mental processes.

The Scriptures put it clearly: “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger” ~James 1:19

Reaching big goals requires grit…
Grit involves maintaining both effort and passion toward long-term goals over months or even years and your ability to be resilient and rise to the level of your challenges requires it.
One book I highly recommend is by entitled “Grit.” Give it a read.

Procrastination isn’t procrastination ⇩
Procrastination isn’t just about delaying things; it often connects to deeper issues like internal anxiety and overthinking. This loop can bring stress, anxiety, and even impact mental health.
When dealing with procrastination, it’s not just about pushing through tasks. Consider your whole self—mind, body, and emotions. Your actions reflect what’s happening inside, influenced by things like diet, past experiences, and your environment.
Rather than forcing yourself, take a moment to figure out what’s causing the procrastination. It could be anxiety from various sources. Even simple changes, like tweaking your diet, can make a big difference.
So, address procrastination by understanding the root causes and looking at yourself holistically.

The neuroscience is clear on this…
If we reframe or re-appraise something that creates fear or anxiety in us into something positive or energizing, we can change how we feel about it.
We can’t eliminate negative emotion associated with something, but we can lay down new pathways on top of those and continue reframing until those new, positive, pathways are so strong that they drown out the other.

Quote by Antonine De Saint-Exupéry
—
How big and beautiful is your vision for those you lead? Is it big enough for them to be inspired by it beautiful enough for them to be captivated by it? Do those outside of it long for the same thing in their life? If not, dream bigger, pray more boldly, and bring back something more powerful to the table that will do just that.

“Where there is no vision the people perish” Proverbs 29:18

If you are anxious, overwhelmed, or depressed, you are too focused on yourself and isolated. Turn the focus outward and serve others. Point them to Jesus. It may be hard, but it’s worth it, and your joy will be full.

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4

Quote by Thomas Sowell
As a business owner, entrepreneur or high performer, who do you put your hope in? Your values will be derived from what you value. Is it God, money, family, something else?
Led Christ guide you in all you do in business and in life. Value him as he is the one who gives you value and worth. Without him, you are and have nothing.
