Today we pay tribute to the many lives lost 82 years ago during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

I enjoyed meeting with fellow Commissioners of Agriculture at the 2023 Ag America Fall Meeting Briefing in Savannah, Georgia.

I enjoyed visiting with everyone at the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Board Meeting today.

I enjoyed joining the important panel discussion of Louisiana’s Seafood Safety Task Force at the State Capitol today. Senator Fred Mills chairs this seafood task force with the goal of developing solutions that will address health and safety concerns, improve the economy of the domestic seafood industry, and expand consumer education opportunities. 🍤

The Thanksgiving Greens from our garden were absolutely delicious! Rudy approved 👍🥬

I enjoyed speaking at the Tangipahoa Parish Forestry Association meeting last night.

One of my greatest blessings as Commissioner of Agriculture, Forestry, & Aquaculture is spending time with our wonderful Louisiana families who are working hard to feed and clothe the world. I enjoyed speaking at the Environment and Health Council of Louisiana’s conference today, focused on Infectious Diseases in Louisiana.

HAPPY NATIONAL LOUISIANA DAY!

November 9th is known as , a day to celebrate all the great things Louisiana has to offer. Whether it's the food, the people, the celebrations, or the unique traditions, there is no place like home.

: Louisiana is one of the nation’s largest producers of cotton, sugar cane, rice, sweet potatoes, and pecans. The state is also a major producer of soybeans and corn. The top land-based industry in the state is forestry with an economic impact from papermaking and wood products greater than all other crops combined. Poultry is the largest livestock industry, followed by dairy and beef cattle. Louisiana is also the nation’s largest producer of alligator hides and crawfish.

I enjoyed a productive Roundtable Listening Discussion in New Orleans with Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA) and Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign and Agricultural Affairs, Alexis Taylor.

I had a wonderful time attending the Winnsboro-Franklin Parish Chamber of Commerce Farmer’s Appreciation event last night.

Another fantastic day attending the 2023 ALTAC Jr. Livestock Sale and visiting Cattlemen’s Kitchen at the State Fair of Louisiana in Shreveport.

We had a great time celebrating Halloween at LDAF's Indian Creek Recreation Area. Come join the fun next year! 🎃👻

I enjoyed a great visit to Fluker’s Cricket Farm in Port Allen. This family owned Louisiana business continues to evolve and thrive in the marketplace.

I had a wonderful time speaking with the St. Mary Chamber of Commerce today.

On the next episode of Crawfish Tales, I spend time in the W.D. Smith Career Center kitchen with TJ Jones of Certified Louisiana’s Louisiana Creole Candy as he teaches a group of students how to make his delicious pralines.

I enjoyed visiting with everyone who attended the Republican Women of St. Charles Parish luncheon today.

I always enjoy spending time speaking with the Baton Rouge Press Club.

It was a magical night with family, friends, and co-workers celebrating the opportunity to serve as your Commissioner for four more years at the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry.

I enjoyed a great visit today with my friend Jeff Landry at his Certified Louisiana business, Landry Vineyards in West Monroe.

Chef John Folse and I enjoyed a delicious hamburger with friends at Bistro Byronz feauturing Shawn Sagrera’s local Louisiana Beef!

I had a wonderful time visiting with everyone who attended the Washington Parish Republican Women's luncheon today.
