Hi! I'd love to offer everyone a new service- Belly cast paintings!

First off, i have never done the actual casting process.. i will be looking for a candidate to be my first subject here in a couple months :) but until then i would love to paint anyone's cast who would be interested!! Custom paint jobs available. Here is mine and my doula friend Caseys just as an example as to what i am capable of. Simple painting/decorating is available as well!

Doing an at home cast is easy and fun to do- it requires about $20 worth of materials. From your cast i can prep, paint, and make it hang worthy !

Fetal Ejection Reflex (FER) is very real and quite amazing. I experienced it twice myself and the first time I had no idea my body was so incredible or that FER was a thing. I mean I KNEW it was incredible but not to THAT extent. Our bodies know what to do when we LET them.

The natural baby boom: Why some pregnant women are dodging the hospital and saying no to drugs 19/05/2017

"Breath of Life- a free standing birth center in Tampa has a hospital-transferred C-section rate of 7 percent. (The state average is a whopping 42.8 percent.)".

Also, most birthing homes charge about 1/3 of the cost that hospitals do for a vaginal birth.

This speaks volumes about the intentions behind birth centers and shows the correct support mothers should be getting!

Our Story

Hi Everyone! I'm Jessica, owner of Nurture the Seed Doula Services. After the birth of my son, Ollin, I decided to delve deeper into understanding the physiology of birth. Growing up, I had a really amazing friend. She wasn’t my mother but a motherly figure who taught me a lot, and could always give the best advice about anything/everything in the world. She was a midwife. I realized if there was anyone I wanted to be it was someone like that.

Five years ago was the birth of my first son. It was at that time I started to become that ‘motherly figure’. Shortly after his birth I received my Doula certification through Birth Arts International and also became a Certified Lactation Counselor. This education has undoubtedly helped me, my partner, and two sons through our natural births and lengthy breastfeeding journeys.

After attending many births as a doula in hospitals, birth centers, and right at home, I continued my education to broaden the spectrum by training as a Birth Assistant. This training has helped me be familiar with the “medical” side, but ultimately it has extended what I can provide as your doula. I am happy to help bridge any gaps between you and whomever your care provider may be.

My clients tend to like me for my calm and “wise woman” demeanor. One of my favorite things to do as a doula is helping your sweet newborn baby latch for the first time. Or helping to maintain a healthy breastfeeding relationship for the long run.
