We learned how to install box braids today 🥰 (we used yarn to make it easier)

I chose to do mine smaller for a more seamless blend, and I’m also adding in different colors to give the hair some dimension. Out of everything we’ve learned so far I think braids are by far my favorite!!

I didn’t get to finish cause it was the end of the day but I loveee them sm ❤️

We tried out some twist in class today and as you can see I was HORRIBLE at first 😂😂

But figuring out the hand motions, and what works best slowly started to pay off in the end! A few more times practicing this and I feel like I could have it down easily. 💪🏼

Here’s my first attempt at doing beach waves 🌊

The first three pictures show how they originally looked, and the last three pictures show how they looked after I used a wide toothed comb to give them more of a seamless blend.

Today our teacher had us freestyle some updos and this is what I came up! Not too bad for my first doing this style 😉

Here’s an update of some highlights we did the other day! I ran out of time so I didn’t get a chance to finish her hair. 😅

& no, it wasn’t done with bleach or color, we just applied cholesterol to her head instead!

Our class learned how to properly section, and apply hair rollers the other day!

Turns out there’s more to it than meets the eye!

Practice makes perfect and I really enjoyed acquiring some hands on experience to help achieve the best results possible. ✨

Happy Memorial Day weekend, everybody!

As some of you know, I started Cosmetology School starting May 7th at Elite Academy of Hair Design in Bridgeport, Ohio!

As of right now, I am currently in the process of learning everything I need to know about hair, skin & nails and eventually I will be out on the floor taking clients as a student until I graduate in 2025 🥰

I designed this page to not only promote myself as an artist, but to track my progress with not just myself, but all of you as well. Honesty is key, and I believe that being as transparent as possible with those around you is the best way to understand one another. In just 3 short weeks I have already gained an incredible amount of knowledge in this industry and I can’t wait to step out and help those around me feel their best! Lord knows that sometimes all we need just a little boost to lighten our days ✨
