NEWS:

First let me bring everyone up to speed.

I direct a non-profit called Camp Horizon. This non-profit has a two fold purpose: Send children to camp and train young people in leadership skills.

A lot of you know Camp Horizon because of the Buttons Team. The Buttons Team consist of youth that feel a call to ministry. The Buttons preach several children's revivals, conferences, and Vacation Bible Schools each year. For more information visit the Camp Horizon page.

Currently there are 3 Buttons that are called to be missionaries. We realized we could take the Buttons training to the next level by taking them on a "missions trip".

The youth raise funds and donations via Camp Horizon but I needed an option for donations for me for not only these trips but other overseas evangelistic trips.

SO

Last year's trip to the Philippines was my "test trip" prior to submitting my application for Associated Minister with Global Missions United Pentecostal Church. I needed to make sure that I felt comfortable in two areas: my safety and the safety of the young people that would travel with me. THANK YOU for those that supported me financially and prayerfully.

If you were following along you saw all the Philippine's posts, thanks for hanging in there while I trained and passed information along to the Camp Horizon team. I know it was a lot!

So now that you are caught up ......

My goal is a minimum of two evangelistic overseas trips a year. One trip will be open to the "Buttons". I'm praying about future trips and will keep everyone updated as decisions are made.

I can tell you discussion has started on a trip to the Philippines in 2025.

I've attached the PIM to start raising funds for the upcoming trips. I appreciate ALL the support from ALL of you. I can't do what I do without your prayers, encouraging words and financial assistance.

Consider this:

God's timing is so perfect that He has included time for our hesitation and our questions. He knows where we are in our spiritual growth.

So next time the enemy tells you it's too late to do what God has asked you to do, remind the enemy your God knows all things.

God knew that today was the day that you would fulfill your purpose in Him.

As Ms. Buttons I have to admit I'm one proud momma.

Many of you know it is common for God to speak to me with a message for an individual. As I entered the prayer room yesterday evening God spoke to me DREAM BIGGER.

I prayed for each person in the prayer room while imagining what their dreams were. As I moved from person to person I heard the voice of God tell me DREAM BIGGER.

Towards the end of prayer time I walked into the sanctuary I heard repeatedly DREAM BIGGER but I couldn't identify who it was for.

I walked into the foyer looking for who the message was for and again the Lord told me DREAM BIGGER.

I decided it must be for the church and made a quick bathroom stop. As I stepped out of the ladies room I heard a sweet voice call out, "Sister Groff, I love you!" I quickly turned back to find out who loved me and tell them I loved them as well.

Our sweet pastor's wife appeared. I shared what I was feeling in the spirit "DREAM BIGGER" and she started laughing. (If you know you know- our Pastor's wife is always full of joy!) When I finished speaking she said, "Sister Groff, Pastor had a vision this morning and we discussed this same topic."

My God is so incredible that even when I don't know who the message is for He leads me directly to the right person. I love being used by God. I love watching Him work in my life. I'm honored that He allows me to see small fleeting pieces of the work He is doing in others lives.

My family and closest friends know the direction that I feel God moving me. I've taken baby steps moving forward. Always seeking His perfect will.

I told the little red headed boy the Easter story this year. He has heard it before but he couldn't remember any details. When I ask about Easter it was all about the Easter Bunny and finding candy eggs.
So this year I went into more details. I tried to balance the filth of sin and the gore of the blood with the reason we rejoice.
We discussed that the people wanted Jesus crucified even though He had done no wrong. I reminded him that people sin. I was impressed when he pointed out that sin had started in the garden with that "snake" and Adam and Eve. He reminded me that God had flooded the earth and washed away man's sin.
We talked about being nailed to a cross. We discussed buried in a cave and the cloth Jesus was wrapped in. We marveled about the empty tomb and the cloth folded neatly where Christ had laid. We were thankful that Jesus died for our sins and was building us a home in Heaven. In the mind of a typical child the little red headed boy proclaimed mom and dad would live with him in heaven.
At almost 6 he definitely understood why Jesus died on a cross. He understood that Acts 2:38 told us to repent of our sins (that Jesus died for). He knows about the gift of the Holy Ghost and can quote the scripture but his young mind is still thinking thorough how this applies to him. He can now answer the questions and discuss Easter.

He still doesn't understand the Easter bunny and eggs but I'm ok with that because

JESUS is the focus of Easter not a bunny and eggs.

I miss the Philippines. Maybe one day God will allow me to return but He has set my path in a different direction this year.
