Mondays...
I’m quite lucky, I get Monday’s off. Getting back into the gym on my days off is really helping me with my ‘new year, new me’ promise. Cliche, but it’s actually working for me. Got my Barbell Squat back up to 100kg for the first time in a long time! I used to think I had a love/hate relationship with the gym, but now realise I was doing too much with my days. With work, football and then trying to squeeze the gym in, I was getting stressed!
I’ve also taken up running thanks to the encouragement of my brother (Josh Parkin) and my client and friend (James Mace). They’ve both preached the benefits of running, physically and mentally, and I can see why! I feel both physically and mentally better in myself.
