Our Story
Avy & Co. was established in 2018, borne out of my relentless desire to create beautifully handcrafted products and to develop lifelong relationships with artisans through collaboration. Avy & Co. lives and breathes the highest quality natural, organic and fair trade production.
Each item is thoughtfully curated, creating everyday feminine pieces. Relaxed, comfortable, soft and sensuous, they are imbued with understated elegance. Designed to be timeless and seasonless; worn day through night, season to season, and year upon year.
The artisans who create these treasures are my good friends whom I work intimately with. The legacy of every piece is built through hours of craftsmanship, passion, and love. We place the utmost value on ethical and sustainable practices, choosing to use only natural raw materials; producing in small numbers to create individual and unique items while minimising waste.
Maria and I collaborate on textiles. All of our garments are delicately handmade in a tiny studio in Ubud, by her and her sister. With an emphasis on slow-fashion, we only use all natural materials, soft cotton gauze, and plant-based dyes. They are designed for comfortable wearing, one size and oversized. They are French seamed, with a focus on quality and longevity. We wash our final garments so that they arrive soft to touch and ready to wear.
