The Missing Piece

This past weekend I was at Compassion to Action, an evangelism crusade in Portland, Oregon. I went to an amazing session listening to powerful brothers in Christ who share the love of Jesus to everyone, everywhere. In the part of the session where we could ask questions, a woman simply asked, “Why aren’t there more women evangelists?” The men of God were very empowering and shared about women that they personally knew who were changing the world by evangelizing people, but we were still wondering why there are so many more men on the evangelistic stage. Two powerful women were speakers at the event, Lisa Bevere and Marilyn Hickey, and winning souls started burning even more in every evangelist woman’s heart. Basically, it came down to this. If we want women to represent God, we have to do it. We have to step up and step out and be willing to represent Jesus to the world! It starts in our areas of influence. It starts with me getting together with other moms and taking our kids to Walmart and talking to people about Jesus. It takes our daughters starting Bible studies at their schools. It takes women of all generations coming together to empower, equip and represent Jesus to the world. See, God’s Father’s heart is being represented well, He is loving, He is powerful, He is kind and the ultimate Dad. He is also nurturer, He is a safe place, He is our comforter and that is just a small part of His mother’s heart. This doesn’t mean that we don’t burn with fire and passion for Him, this just means that we represent His heart is a beautiful and different way. I was evangelizing this weekend with 2 other women and we had an amazing revelation when we had God speak to our hearts about how connected we are to Him when we are mothers, regardless of age. We want to represent His heart well and feel that there is a way He wants to represent Himself differently through women and men. I want to make it very clear that women being empowered in no way discounts men. Todd White, Chris Overstreet, Daniel Kolenda, Ben Fitzgerald and many more are some of my faith heroes and their lives inspire me. I hope that by women bringing the piece of God’s heart that we represent, it will cause an incredible revival of epic proportions across this world and nation. Yes, I dream big, but my God is a big God and what He calls us to, He will equip us for! All of Heaven is waiting for the sons and daughters of God to manifest, let’s do our part.
