SacroFix testimonials - Helen writes...

Having suffered from lower back pain due to bulging discs for the past 25 years I have tried various therapies and lumbar supports without too much success in helping to ease my pain and support my back during physical exercise and the more exerting of household tasks. Although maintenance and light exercise along with pain killers helped with my lower back pain for a number of years I began to suffer more frequently as the years passed which eventually prevented me from playing sport and even carrying out certain household tasks.

However this all changed when I began wearing SacroFix, from the first time of wearing these shorts I felt an instant support around my lower back and a reduction in pain. I have now been wearing these shorts for the past 12 months and they have enabled me to once again play sport as they offer such targeted support and help to reduce the pain previously felt for a number of days after. Having worn the shorts during our recent house move followed by a redecoration of the ground floor I have been able to complete the project without suffering from the usual pain and discomfort or having to take pain killers to get me through such a strenuous job. Undertaking this kind of task without the shorts would have surely left me unable to walk for days and be in pain for a number of weeks thereafter.

Not only are they a great product and work extremely well in providing me with the support needed, but the SacroFix shorts are very easy to wear under clothing and are extremely breathable. This is my go to product when I need that extra support and pain relief.

The pelvic girdle is a ring of bones around the body at the base of the spine. It consists of three joints: two sacroiliac joints at the back, and the symphysis of p***s joint at the front.

These three joints in the pelvis work together and normally move slightly. Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) is usually caused by the joints moving unevenly, which can lead to the pelvic girdle becoming less stable and therefore painful.

SacroFix brace provides a solution to Pelvic Girdle Pain by applying a uniquely directed external compression to the pelvis to improve sacroiliac and symphysis of p***s joints stability.

SacroFix stories - Phill writes…

After leaving School at 15 Years of age, I became very involved in playing local football and cricket, remaining active in both, until I hit 50 years of age! I then took up golf and enjoyed my new found sport, regularly playing 3 times a week. Suddenly, without any warning, I began to get severe pain around my pelvic / hip region making any rotation, whilst playing my shots, very painful.
I tried to play through the pain but frustratingly, I had to stop as I was in too much discomfort.

Luckily, a friend told me about SACROFIX SHORTS.
At this point, I was willing to try anything to get back to the ‘Greens’ and after a suitability assessment I was fitted with the shorts. Very gingerly, I started playing golf again almost waiting for the pain to strike. After a few holes, I realised, that the pain was not coming back and that I could rotate through my hips freely. What joy! I’m now back to playing golf 3 times a week and its all down to SACROFIX!
I would recommend these to anyone who has a similar problem.

The Active Straight Leg Raise test, or ASRL for short, is used to assess sacroiliac and pelvic girdle pain.

The test is performed with patient lying face up. In this position, patient is asked to lift the legs off the bed to assess the ability to raise the leg and the changes in pain.

This video shows the steps to carry out the Active Straight Leg Raise Test for Pelvic Girdle Pain assessment.

The ASLR can guide the optimal SacroFix brace fitting for Pelvic Girdle Pain management.

The response to any of the compression applied to the pelvis, will indicate the direction of the compression to be applied when fitting the SacroFix brace.

Here is a personal story from our employee Lucy about the SacroFix shorts:

Last year I personally suffered a bad back which left me in agony especially whilst sitting. It was recommended by a colleague that I try the Sacrofix shorts. The shorts are lycra which have Velcro bands attached which you can pull across the pelvis making you feel supported. I found the pain was drastically reduced and shorts helped with my stability and mobility. It was good to trial the shorts first-hand and this made me gain huge confidence in our products moving forward.
