Join us tonight (2/15) for FREE youth-focused ultimate skills and drills from 4:30 to 6:00 at East Riverside Park Stadium (1155 S Suber Rd Greer,SC). After the skills session, there will be open goaltimate from 6:00 to 8:00. For more info, send us an e-mail a [email protected]

Come join us for FREE youth-focused ultimate every Friday night, starting February 8 at East Riverside Park Stadium (1155 S Suber Rd Greer,SC). This week, we’ll have a school vs. school scrimmage from 4:30-6:00, then a clinic and some fun games from 6-7:30. Coach of the Week: Eric "Frisbee Pirate" Sundt

What's your ultimate nickname?
The closest thing I have to that is "Frisbee Pirate", due to my recent pattern of wearing a shirt on my head/neck to protect from the sun.

Where/when did you start playing ultimate?
North Greenville University, 2005.

Highest levels of competition you've played?
Various college and club tournaments

Your preferred position?
Handler and receiver

What's your favorite thing about Ultimate?
A successful layout catch, and the Spirit of the Game that is so well upheld in the Ultimate community.

Do you have a nickname/motto?
I've never been given a nickname. I always tell my teams to "play fast but never hurry." It makes sense, trust me.

Where/when did you start playing ultimate?
I dabbled with it in NJ before I moved here, but actually started playing heavily in Greenville between 2008 and 2009.

Highest levels of competition you've played?
Open, Mixed, and Masters Regionals

Your preferred position: Breakside wing in a zone defense, handler defender in a man defense, mobile handler on offense

Favorite thing about Ultimate: Playing zone, and especially zone offense, becomes a game within the game and is always a fun challenge

Interested in playing youth league but want to see what it's all about before you sign up? Tomorrow, the 16th, at Pittman Park from 12 pm to 2 pm we're holding a "Registration Field Day." Come out to try your throws and catches and to sign up for summer league. Look forward to seeing you out there!

Do you have a nickname? Erick "Red Zone" Bousman (RZB for short), because of how often I score when I have the disc in the red zone.

Where/when did you start playing ultimate? On the Peloponnesian fields during the reign of Lycurgus, first half of the 8th century BC

Highest levels of competition you've played? Club Regionals

Your preferred position: short deep in a zone, or popping on offense against a zone

Favorite thing about Ultimate: making a tough defensive play--either sprinting to get to a disc you didn't think you could get, or pushing yourself to out-read and out-jump an offensive player to get the disc first.

Hey Greenville Ultimate peeps, we want you to get involved in the 2nd annual Youth Summer League! Message us if you are interested in coaching for the summer or helping out with our Saturday clinic!

We are gearing up to start planning for the 2nd annual Youth Summer League and I thought it would be a good time to have a youth ultimate organization meeting. Last year was a great start, however, youth ultimate is still very new to Greenville and I would like to have an open discussion on peoples thoughts and ideas to see where they would like youth ultimate in Greenville to head. This meeting is for anyone who would like to be involved with youth ultimate, whether it be adults who would like to help organize or kids that would like to share their ideas. Information for the meeting is below:

Where: Radius Church, 37 Pinckney St. Greenville, SC 29601 (we will have signs and/or people out front to show where the meeting will be located inside the building)

When: Wednesday, April 22 at 7:30 pm

There will be youth pickup today at 1pm at Pittman Park. Hope to see you out there.
