If there’s one book you should read on health, aging, bio hacking or preventing disease, this is it. Good Energy by Dr Casey Means is revelatory and quite practical when it comes to understanding your metabolic health and the root cause of 95% of chronic illnesses and diseases.
Dr Casey Means is a Stanford Med School graduate, who left being an ENT surgeon because she could not justify relieving symptoms without understanding how the illnesses and diseases arose in the first place. The good news: there is so much we can do on a daily basis to have good metabolic health. Also good news: this information is meant to empower you and be your own advocate for your health. Many friends have expressed their support and concern over the past 12 days. It may have been hot as balls out there, but he didn’t mind. He was so happy.
Best decision we ever made was moving them out of the city. 🙏 No shade to anyone else, but this has been amazing for my boys to grow up around. They have farm chores, they’ve witnessed birth and death and the bittersweet cycle of life. They’ve eaten what they’ve grown, they get their eggs from their backyard, they can play football and baseball without worrying about neighbors or cars. They’ve learned patience, responsibility, care, commitment, respect and so many other things. They still may complain they don’t have as many game consoles or electronics as their peers, but I’m ok with that.

Homemade Pesto Recipe 😋
Daniel always grows basil and garlic every year, and since I’m obsessed with pesto, we decided to make some!

Easy Recipe:
2 cups basil leaves (packed, de-stemmed, washed and dried)
1/3 cup walnuts or sunflower seeds (or whatever nut/seed you want, cashews, pine nuts etc)
2/3 cup olive oil
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano

I throw it all in our nutribullet and it blends pretty easily. Certain nuts are oily than others so you may need to add a little extra olive oil to get to the consistency you like. This makes about 1.25 cups. You can store in fridge or freeze.
Use on pasta, pizza, sandwiches, salads, omelettes, cheese boards or pretty much anything!!
