Thatâs a wrap for the 2021-22 season!
This past year, Clemson Fencing had yet another incredible season. We hosted 2 major tournaments, travelled across the country, competed in regional and national championships, attended clinics, gained referee certifications, brought home medals, drove to countless individual tournaments in the area, and overall had a blast while doing so. We also welcomed many new members into our fencing family and saw this special community grow stronger with each practice and tournament!
Friday marked our last practice of the semester, and for many, it was their last practice as Clemson Fencers. To our graduating seniors, we are so proud of you! Thank you so much for your commitment and friendship over these past four years. We are so excited to see what you do next as Clemson Fencing alumni! đđ§Ą

Over the weekend of April 9-10, our Clemson Fencers visited Rhode Island College in Providence, RI for the 2022 United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Clubs Championships ( )!
Our team competed against 40 of the best collegiate fencing clubs in the country, and placed 25th overall. Notable team results include Womenâs Saber, who placed in the Top 8! Our other squads had fantastic performances against tough competition, and fought with spirit and sportsmanship.
Two of our fencers also received special recognition and were invited to compete in top 16 individual tournaments in their respective weapons. Congratulations to Morgan Merriman for qualifying on A strip in Womenâs Saber and Ashwin Koka for qualifying on B strip in Menâs Epee!
All in all, it was a great return to national competition for our club. This young team is full of potential, and we canât wait to see what next year brings!
