Today’s appreciation post is for who is playing the role of Valene! Kimi is an actor, comedian, writer, dancer & artist who was born in Tokyo & is based out of the PNW. Kimi came out the womb an entertainer—dancing on tables, forcing her family to watch her staircase plays, and stealing her dad's camcorder to make and star in her own (not good) home videos. From a young age, Kimi was always fascinated by the psychology of people. Kimi has trained in gymnastics, hip-hop dance, martial arts, piano, stand-up comedy, theater, and filmmaking. After graduating the University of Washington with a BA in Linguistics, she decided to throw that tuition money down the drain & take the plunge into acting! She is beyond excited to join the cast of Tavern Brawl and make her TV series debut. When she's not acting, Kimi loves learning languages, laughing uncontrollably, eating with friends, film photography, editing, writing comedy and making music for fun.

Valene is an ex-member of The Order of Dawn, a religious military group who are vehemently against magic. Valene was raised in the city where The Order of Dawn headquarters is, and brought up believing that the Order could do no wrong. Years later, once she had joined and climbed the ranks, she began to see the widespread corruption beneath the surface of the Order of Dawn. Valene joined ranks with a group of rebels who attempted to overthrow the leader, but they were stopped and forced to flee the city. Valene now resides in one of the many rebel camps, fighting the Order of Dawn at every chance she gets. Though Valene has a hardened exterior brought on by years of religious trauma, she has recently begun to let her walls down, feeling more comfortable with her new found purpose, and with her partner, Kira by her side. Valene is strong, bright, and is well trained in swordplay and combat.

                  

Today’s appreciation post is for Michael Winder .mcneil who is playing Johann. Michael is a writer/actor based in Oregon's Willamette Valley. When he's not running a homebrew D&D campaign for his two daughters, he's probably cooking up another sketch comedy show like "Rando Extravagando" (The Majestic Theatre, 2020), or taking on a boundary-busting theatrical challenge like "I Am My Own Wife" (2018-19, several locations). By day he manages the Russell Tripp Performance Center in Albany, OR. By night, he wonders if that scratching at the window is just a tree branch or something else...

Johann Schleiermacher is an esteemed merchant and owner of Schleiermacher’s Textile Company, a multi-generational family business that’s been in Mulbury for decades. Though business has been rough with rumors of bandits on the road, Johann tries not to let the stern mercantile teachings of his father drag him down. When he isn’t working, you can find Johann drinking a glass of Drachenblut Red with his friends at the Wayfarer’s Rest.
                  

Today’s appreciation post is for who is playing the role of Gladwind. Benedikt is an actor, writer, musician and award-winning graphic designer, based in Los Angeles. He has a Bachelors in Visual Communication that became the stepping stone into filmmaking, where he spends time behind and in front of the lens. He has appeared in numerous films and series. His interest in long form narrative took him on a literary journey where he obtained his Masters in Creative Writing.

Gladwind always considers himself the cleverest man in the room, using his silver tongue and roguish charm to constantly get himself out of tough situations. Although life on the run from the order has taken its toll, Gladwind still finds the time to enjoy life’s many pleasures. While he believes his charm is his best attribute, others would argue it’s usually what gets him into trouble in the first place.
                    

Today’s appreciation post is for Kaleigh Macchio who is playing the role of Kira! Kaleigh has starred in multiple feature films, plays and commercials, but this will be her first T.V. role and she is over the moon about it. She has diligently studied her craft and shot films in San Francisco, L.A., New Orleans and now the PNW. Being a self-proclaimed fantasy nerd, movie/book fanatic, and having been on many an adventure herself, she already feels at home in Kira's world. Her fight choreography and stunt experience doesn't hurt, either. Kaleigh knows that the Tavern Brawl universe will enchant viewers and can't wait to take you there.

Kira is a young Wayfarer under the instruction of Gladwind. Quick-witted yet temperamental, she is constantly trying to push the limits of her knowledge from her mentor, despite his growing reluctance. Kira is passionate and easily finds herself at the will of her intense emotions. Although she is quick to anger, Kira is dedicated to following the path of the Wayfarers and restoring them to their former glory, no matter what it takes.
                    

Today’s appreciation post is for Eric Nepom who is playing Sven and also designing our sets! Decades of experience fill Eric’s resume; with works in amateur and professional theatre on stage, television, and film. Primarily though, he is an improviser and performs across the planet; educating on the skills and benefits of performance without a script. His credits range from actor & performer to director & producer; primarily focusing on the fun of storytelling. When not on stage, Eric is an educator in the greater Portland area & beyond; teaching science & theatre (though rarely at the same time).

Sven is a regular at The Wayfarer’s Rest tavern who is always finding himself in sticky situations. Back in his glory days he was a renowned knight and a gifted fighter and swordsman. Now, he can usually be found at the Wayfarer’s Rest passed out in front of the fire place after gambling away all of his wife’s allowance for him for the week. Through all of this, Sven is a loyal friend to Oscar and Aella and always has their backs as the Wayfarer’s Rest is a second home to him.
                    

Today’s appreciation post is for Brenden Murray who is playing the character of Harper! After gaining a love for theater in high school, Brenden moved to study theater at Long Island university and act in New York. He has a deep love for all things fantasy. When he’s not on set you can find him working as a bartender, spending time with his family, doing martial arts or making and producing his own music.

Scout Harper is a member of the Order of Dawn who is secretly providing information to Gladwind for Oriania’s rebellion.Although his motives may be questionable and his past a mystery, his information has been vital to the Rebellion avoiding detection from the Order of Down. Harper is a strong fighter, a quick thinker, and is always three steps ahead of his enemy.
                    

Today’s appreciation post is for Marcus Ellison Jr.! Marcus Ellison Jr. is an actor/podcaster from Beltsville, MD, who is now located in Los Angeles. While being a lifelong lover of film, it took him until college to break into the acting realm and he hasn't looked back since. He's been active in the DMV film scene for 5+ years now starring in numerous shorts, feature films & music videos, but Tavern Brawl will be his debut narrative television role; something that he's been eagerly pursuing. When he's not acting you can find him on his gaming podcast, Press X To Start, or kicking back with a video game, movie, or TV show.

Oscar is the owner of “The Wayfarer’s Rest” tavern, which he inherited from his mother after she passed away. Oscar is desperately trying to keep the tavern afloat, however the weight and responsibility of taking care of his sister and the struggling tavern has left him exhausted. Through all of this, Oscar is a loyal friend to his patrons and is constantly putting others before himself
                      

Today’s appreciation post is for Josh Winter .winter1978 who is playing the role of Greywall. Josh is a veteran of the theater and made his first on screen debut with his daughter Aurora in the Wayfarer, Tavern Brawl’s proof of concept short film. When Josh is not training pitbulls or foraging in nature he can be found at home with his partner Heather and new baby son Nation, as well as his daughter Aurora.

Greywall is a new traveler to The Wayfarer’s Rest with a mysterious past. Greywall is a Wayfarer, an ancient and long gone order of magic users sworn to only help those in need. Although not much is known about his past, Greywall is a powerful magic user with an intense love for stories and history, having spent most of his young adult years hunting for Wayfarer relics and lost knowledge with his sister. Why has Greywall stopped at The Wayfarer’s Rest tavern, and where is he going?
                      

Today’s appreciation post is for Allegra Sweeney . Allegra was raised as a ballerina in her family's ballet studio, but it wasn't until she graduated University with a degree in dance that Allegra realized the pursuit of acting was calling. Since then, she has transitioned from dance to acting through roles in television, film, new media, and community theatre. As a musician, creator, and filmmaker herself, she loves all aspects of filmmaking and is so excited to be a part of an all-encompassing project like Tavern Brawl. The fantasy nerd inside is screaming, "BRILLIANT!!!!!!". Right now, she is probably listening to film/video game soundtracks, quietly exploring nature, taking a drive, or cuddling with her two kitties.

Aella is a half-elf and Oscar’s younger sister, although not related by blood. Aella was born and left at the Wayfarer’s Rest Tavern and taken in by Oscar’s parents. Growing up in the tavern, instead of serving drinks and helping her brother keep things up, Aella would rather spend her time hanging out with the patrons and dreaming about leaving Mulberry for an adventure. Aella is a kind and thoughtful friend but is never afraid to let you know exactly what is on her mind. Although she maintains a capable attitude, underneath, she is still scared of her ever growing responsibility.
                      

Today’s appreciation post is for Billy Dunston who is playing the role of “Weylan”. Billy is originally from silver spring Maryland is a prior service Army ranger, and Long-Range Surveillance team leader. He served 13 years in the Army with 5 combat deployments before finding his love for acting. Always looking expand his experiences he has performed in Film, Music, Commercial and Print. In his free time, he enjoys Brazilian jujitsu, Kick boxing, Dungeons & Dragons, cosplay and axe throwing.

Weylan Stone is the town’s blacksmith and is another regular at the Wayfarer’s Rest. When he is not gambling or drinking with the other tavern regulars, Weylan can be found working long hours at his Blacksmith shop in town. Weylan is well known in Mulberry for his expert craftsmanship, friendly demeanor, and warm smile- though don’t let it deceive you. After years of hammering steel, you’d be a fool to get caught on Weylan’s bad side…
                     

Today’s appreciation post is for Kiara Kennington who is playing the role of “Ebbo”. Before Tavern Brawl her focus was musical theatre, both in school as well as in the community around Vancouver, WA. Her favorite roles include Constance Bonacieux in The Three Musketeers, Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, but she is best known for her cameos in the Taco Bell drive-through at 2 am. Tavern Brawl will be Kiara’s on-screen debut!

Ebbo is the resident bard of The Wayfarer’s Rest Tavern and is a long time friend of Oscar’s. Ebbo is a gifted musician who is always trying to lift the spirits of anyone she comes in contact with. When she is not asking Oscar for her third advance on her pay of the week, she can be found plucking away on her lute, composing the next song for her always-upcoming one woman show.

When he is not serving as everyone’s on-set “uncle”, Henry is an actor, writer, stuntman, martial artist, musician.  In his free time he enjoys taking his blade "Fate" to the whetstone making sure she always ready to dispense justice to enemies of The Order of Dawn.

Baldwin Boem is a mischievous and devilishly handsome adventurer who is a newcomer to the Wayfarer’s Rest tavern. He has caught the fondness of Aella, much to Oscar’s dismay. Baldwin’s charm constantly lets him get away with more than any newcomer has the right to. One might wonder if he uses it to deflect answers about his mysterious past.
