Good afternoon Men! The Team here at Rough Edges wants to thank you for your participation! Especially those who have humbly, with strength and courage, been willing to share their testimonies! With that, we are always looking for Men who are willing to share. We all have a story, we all have struggles and troubles that we have battled and or are still battling! 2024 Season is a wrap! Our final event was held on Lake Springfield with temps in upper 80’s with light to no winds and sunny skys. 13 Teams fished a stingy lake and only three teams brought in a limit to the scales. One team above all was the team of Chad and Greg Satterlee with the winning weight of 16.66lbs including the Big Bass of the day of 3.74lbs. Chad and Greg earned a huge payday today. 1st Place, Big Bass, 1st Place Bonus Bucks, 2024 Points Champs, earning them $5,042.00 Congratulations Chad and Greg on a great season. They have qualified for the National Championship on Lake Murray, SC next spring. 2nd Place today was Brian and Maxwell Trotter with 13.83lbs. 3rd Place was Jim Dietel and Kerry Malone with 12.43lbs. Thank you all for a great season. We hope to do it again next if the Lord is willing.

The 4th event of the season was held today on Lake Springfield and the fishing was much better today than it was three weeks ago. Brian and Lauri Lopp took the win with 14.15lbs. 2nd Place was the team of Randy Miller and Andy Wegner with 13.75lbs. 3rd Place was the team of Herb Rush and Zach Pierce with 13.16lbs. Big Bass of the day was a 4.10lb Largemouth weighed in by the Team of Brandt Sjuts and Ty C**n earning the team $500. Out of 18 teams there were 6 Limits and 3 teams had 4 fish. Teams were treated to a shore lunch and a message from the Bible. Our final event is August 3.

For those thinking about the district Championship in September, here was Saturday’s weights. Every team had a limit. There are only 2 events remaining so make sure your team has 3 events so you can qualify.

Well! Typically the second week of June is fire at Lake Springfield and most
Teams have 5 fish limits, however that was not the case today. We started the morning launching the 16 teams out with warm temps and cloudy skies. The afternoon brought in 15-20 mph winds which you would think would have turned it into to a slug fest but as the teams began to weigh in it was two fish each, until we finally had two teams with a 5 fish limit. The team that came out on top was Herb Rush and Zach Pierce with 12.02lbs. A close second was Brandt Sjuts and Ty C**n with 11.93lbs. Third Place was the team of Jeff Secton and Jack Williams with 7.88lbs. The Scheels Big Bass Award went to Chad and Greg Satterlee with a 3.87lb largemouth.
