I have made the decision to go back to in Sherwood Park!
As nice as it was to be closer to home these last few months, I couldn’t help but miss the amazing people I worked with, as well as all of your lovely faces that I haven’t seen in a while!

I’m loving how blonde we got this rad mama. 😍
3rd picture is where we started initially, 2nd photo was after our first lightening sesh (which is amazing since she had previously lightened hair that she filled with red box dye, and then coloured over that with a brown box dye!), and 1st photo was after we added an additional 10 or so foils throughout the front and top of her head.
Story time- since she had used not just one, but two box dyes on her ends, I decided to lighten her with a very low volume so we would create minimal damage.
She understood this would take time and patience, which I appreciate.
Once we finished our first session, surprisingly she lightened extremely well (which is not always the case).
But once we finished she had let me know that she was hoping there would be a bit more foils put in the front so she would see less of the dark colour.
So we decided to have her come back another day to pop those additional foils in, and boy am I happy we did, because not only is my client happy, but she looks like a blonde bombshell for summer!

Real talk though- if you ever feel like there’s something you’d like changed, or you just don’t love the toner we choose or literally anything ever that you are unhappy with regarding your hair, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE say something! Don’t feel bad for not loving it, that is totally okay! Things can be fixed and we can work together to make your hair goals come to life. I don’t ever want anyone to feel like you can’t be open and honest with me, I will NOT be offended! It’s a team effort and as long as we are on the same page, we can work to get you the hair of your dreams. 🫶

Hi 👋 it’s me!
The face behind the chair, and all that hair. 🙋‍♀️
My husband and I are a week away from leaving on our dream honeymoon trip, but when we return things will be looking a bit different, for me, and everyone who sits in my chair.
As of March 4th I will be located at .leduc 🎉🎉🎉
The team has been so welcoming to me there, and I can’t wait to return and start doing hair in the new space.

The T- I usually always forget to take a before photo, but this time I did it to show exactly what it takes to fix some unwanted pigments and banding that was done on my girl from a different salon.

First, I figure out what her original goal was, taking into account what her hair looks like in my chair now. I think to myself, how can I give her what she is asking for while still keeping the integrity of her hair?
Because for me, the number one priority is the health of your hair!

Second, I make a game plan!
I tell myself I’ll Start with a partial highlight with lightener only applied to the root areas.
Then ill apply a gloss to the root areas I left out to correct any warmth or banding that was not addressed in the foils.
We then let her process, we rinse, shampoo, then apply a root tap and her toner.
Keeping in mind that we can not cancel out all warmth entirely, but we can get her to a beautiful blend to let that grow out, so in the future we can lighten her roots without having to add the gloss in between. (Which was the original goal)
Now that I have a plan I put all of this into action, and violà.
The end result is 🤌

Remember though, this is a lot more work than the original appointment could have been, and as I was very happy to do this, but to get her to a beautiful end result, can be a process, and progress takes time.
So please plan accordingly, and know that I will do all that I can to get you your 🫶
