As designers, we instinctively know what a space needs. Sometimes it’s instant, and sometimes it takes a minute to soak in, but before long- the creative juices start to flow and magic happens.

When I first saw the blank slate of my own living room here, I instantly knew I wanted a massive two-story fireplace that linked the loft and the living room. It had to make a statement, but mostly it had to make me happy.

This is the result. 🌟

It’s a mix of porcelain slabs and leather. Yes leather. Who knew?!
(Admittedly, that was one of those “come later” ideas). And the “fire” is water v***r mist. To make it a bit more interesting, I added my own selenite “logs.”

Now, I smile every time I see it.

My point to all of this?

Happy Valentines Day! When I think of clients who celebrate love today & everyday, it’s definitely these clients. ♥️ The love is so obvious between them…So much so that what you do not see in this photo is the photograph installation that we did in the hallway leading to their bedroom. They photographically re-created special moments in their lives over the course of their marriage, and we framed them all and lined their entrance to their main bedroom with them - in a long two sided gallery wall. ♥️ I wish this type of love to all of you today and every day! ♥️♥️♥️ 📸
