A mere “bad hair day” can crush our self esteem, make us less sociable and ruin our day. Can you imagine going for days/weeks/months with dirty, uncut hair?
A haircut can have a profound impact on a homeless individual who may not have access to it on a regular basis. It can boost their self esteem, lift their spirit, and improve their outlook on life.

You can come any time and leave anytime between 9:30am -1:30pm!!
If you are Hairstylists or barbers, bring your cutting tools for men’s and women’s! Cordless clippers are always nice ideas in case of no outlet access!

Only 4 months ago Philip had a full time job and lived in a nice house in Brentwood. He fell on hard times, lost his home and had to move into a shelter. He reminds us that homelessness can happen to anyone and that "you're only a paycheck away from being homeless".

Our first hair cutting event at the Concord Shelter was a great success! So many beautiful haircuts and smiles. Thanks to the awesome hairstylists from the East Bay, we're now over 200 haircuts and counting!
