Yesterday at noon the NC American Legion Moon Pie Delivery Team stopped in at Hickory Post 48 and was treated to some BBQ fixed by Zane and David. It was a shame that we couldn't have sampled some of those Moon Pies that were packed full in that truck. But by 1PM they were on their way towards Raleigh where they were being delivered today.

Our Thanks and Gratitude go out to the Lakeland District Scouts of the Piedmont Council SA and other volunteers who helped us place and retrieve nearly 2,000 US Flags on the graves of our veterans this Memorial Day weekend.

The leaders and parents should be very proud of the "job well done" by these scouts in identifying the graves of the veterans then placing the US Flag properly and with great respect at that grave.
