Thanks to all our 2020 LaunchU participants for a great first session! Last night, we talked all about the basics of young friends boards, the value these boards can bring to their organizations, and how to create a mission statement that is unique to a nonprofit’s young friends. While we are sad we couldn’t meet our participants last night, we look forward to resuming our in-person sessions soon!

This week for , Launch is sharing small ways you can help your community during this difficult time while still practicing social distancing.

If you're able, make a small donation to a food bank, food pantry or organization like the United Way. These organizations work every day to address the basic needs of our community. This is especially important right now.

Drop off some canned goods or other non-perishables to your local food pantry or food bank.

Create and deliver a care package to an elderly or immunocompromised neighbor or friend.

Or, offer to make a trip to the market for someone who is not able to make it out themselves.

If you step outside for some fresh air, pick up any trash you see.

Opt for one of St. Louis' many great local restaurants when ordering takeout.

Practice patience as you run out for any errands. We could all use a smile right now, especially those working at busy supermarkets.

Comment below on the different ways you are performing random acts of kindness in our community.
