Fish farms for disadvantaged families
In summer 2019 the EGP India team will be going to Kerala, India to build 25 fish farms for disadvantaged families. These fish farms will not only provide a source of income for disadvantaged families but also give the women of the families economic independence as they will be the ones maintaining the ponds. Additionally, the fish from the ponds will help to increase health standards in the area by providing a nutritious food source.
To achieve this project, the team needs to raise at least £9,350. We will be hosting events throughout the year including bake sales, pub quizzes, sponsored runs, and more!
