Nunc is the Latin word for ‘now’ and the name of this organic necklace. It’s a beautiful edition to the Interius collection, a piece of modernist jewellery design. A physical record of a moment in time made from the internal space of a clenched fist and cast in recycled silver and 18 carat gold vermeil.

Are you guys interested in philosophical theories? I definitely am and my Memento Mori collection is inspired by one!

Memento Mori is the Latin theory and practice of our reflection on mortality and the transient nature of life. The collection is inspired by life, death and the journey along the way. Each piece is craved in the shape of an important part of the human anatomy. I celebrate our beautiful human form and the parts of the body that define us as a species. We are all different, but there's more that unites us than devides us. Wouldn't you agree? ✋🏻🦴🦷

Each piece is carved from wax and cast into eco sterling silver and gold vermeil, using the ancient process of lost wax casting. This is the process in which a metal object is cast from a mould made from an original wax model. The mould is made from a plaster-like material which is poured around the wax model and left until set. This is then placed in a furnace to melt the wax away and molten metal is poured into the mould, filling the space left by the melted wax.
