We’ve committed 35 years to the creation of natural cosmetics. During the 1970’s, Europe experienced a wave of environmental consciousness and activism.
Organic agriculture, renewable energy and environmental responsibility became the watchwords of the movement. Where does henna/Indigo come from?
The henna plant is native to North and East Africa as well as large parts of Asia and need lots of light and warmth to thrive. Henna has been treasured for millennia as a popular garden plant because of its beautiful fragrance. The henna powder is obtained from the leaves of the plant and was used already in ancient times as body paint and natural hair dye.
The leaves of the indigo and senna plants also provide color care and shine to the hair. Indigo has been used for a long time as a blue, almost violet dye. Originally from East Asia, the indigo plant came via Egypt to Europe where it replaced most other dyes at the time. Senna leaves (or natural henna) have particularly caring properties and can be used as a deep conditioner.

A trademark dispute with the mighty L'Oreal forced us to change the name. LOrien GOods NAturkosmetik became LOGONA.
