Welcome to my page. As a serving Irish Ranger and developing Photographer/Videographer you?
1st event complete. Great turnout and a lot of sweat contributed to the gym floor. Big thanks to & for the quick turnaround on deliveries of prizes for the winners. Event video will make its way onto YouTube at some stage in some form. Unfortunately I had my shoes and socks off keeping track of run lap numbers so full filming coverage took a hit. Until the next one, πͺπ«‘πππ»πββοΈποΈββοΈπ¬π§.

Morning admin with a view.
Itβs not until after the exercise you appreciate how cool it was to be up close and personal to the wildlife Kenya has living here.
This trip definitely provided much more encounters from previous ones.
Listening to an elephant slowly circling your callsign making its way through trees and scrub-land in the dead of the night, is a sound like something from the Jurassic Park films!

Ranger Viliame Mototabua.
He joined the unit a few year ago and has recently just completed his second overseas training exercise.
He left his village Davetalevu in Northern Fiji to serve.
During the exercise he was in the role of PL Sgts runner and would help me with ammunition replen and casualty management. Rgr Mototabua worked hard in the Platoon, throughout the exercise displaying the true Fijian spirit Irish Rangers are used to seeing.
The Battalion has a strong Fijian community serving in it. They have all served with honour both on training exercises and operational tours most recently in Iraq and Afghanistan.
With routes also leading back to the Legendary Labalaba who originally joined the Irish Rangers before passing selection and joining 22 SAS.

Final rehearsals completed. Rest day today to give uniforms and boots a final going over. It was great to get to RMAS yesterday for Tempest to take the Infantry picture by old college.
Today has seen us successfully complete our final assurance check by The House Hold Division. We will now move to a location down south to take part in further preparations for the Kingβs Coronation. A once in a life time opportunity that weβre all excited to be apart of.
God save the King π¬π§
Company coronation prep, well under way. Final assurance check by The Household Division on Monday. Then thatβs us off down south for ten days for more training, before the big day. Looking forward to this one! Once in a lifetime opportunity. ππ¬π§
Few more images from Ex Wessex storm 2021. 1st image - A Ranger on top cover of a Foxhound just before they deployed on patrol.
2nd image- French soldier on guard within Copehill Down on Salisbury training area.
One of my favourite sets of images from Ex Wessex storm back in 2021. This was B company conducting an air assault op, during the exercise.
During this time it still hadnβt been announced that the Battalion would be moving back into 16 Air Assault Brigade. This was also the last time the Battalion operated together as a unit. The next 18 months would see different elements of the Battalion deploy to multiple continents across the globe for various periods of time.
Room clearance drills ran by screws just recently back from their urban ops instructor course. Nothing crazy as thereβs quite a few guys just recently joined from ITC, so a good chance for them to get integrated with their new platoons. βοΈ
Not a bad day in the office for the first one back in off leave!
Company air drills this week.
All these images were taken on my iPhone π±.
Iβm blown away by the quality you can get with phones these days by adjusting some of the settings.
I put out a small video & poll over on Instagram to try gauge interest on a course that would teach you some techniques on how to get the most out of your phones camera.
All with the concept of keeping cost to a bare minimum, as thereβs some equipment and 3rd party apps available that can really unlock the full potential of your mobile phones camera.
The course would be completely free for life, so go through it at your own pace and have it for future reference.
Skills learned on it can be used in either work or civi life for whatever your capturing, both video and photography.
Trying to gauge interest on all my pages before committing time/resources to it.

A few oldies for a Sunday afternoon. A mixture from Op Herrick 08, summer 2008 Sangin and Nad-e-Ali winter 2010/11 both located in Helmand Province Afghanistan. A transition from desert uniform to the MTP current style of uniform. βοΈπ¬π§
Guys on the move in a Coyote, moving into position to provide overwatch for B company troops to enter a village and speak with the people who live there.
This call sign is made of guys from D & C company. Snipers, Anti-Tanks and Mortars.
The Coyote requires the same driving qualification as the Foxhound and most other vehicles in unit, Cat C.
