Welcome! As I approach the first anniversary of my 29th birthday (hehe), I have been feeling the need to really break out of my shell and do what truly makes me happy. I have always been into health and wellness, but kind of fell off the wagon after the birth of my first nugget. I was spending so much time taking care of others that I forgot to take care of
It's about that time! Today is the last day of June, so that means tomorrow is the beginning of birthday month! Yes, I am one of those people and I feel no shame for it.💁🏼♀️ While I do some goal setting at the beginning of the year, my birthday is when I really dig in and make plans for how I want the next twelve months to go. The last few months have brought a lot of clarity and revelations, and I know that this time next year my life will look much different than it does now. If you set goals at the beginning of the year that haven't quite panned out, I would like to invite you to revisit those goals and make new commitments along with me this month! It's never too late to get started!
Have you been thinking about joining me but haven't pulled the trigger yet? Well there has never been a better time than now! We have two amazing programs being added in July, and I still have a $30 discount on packs until the end of day Friday. So discounts and new programs are great, but why should you *really* join? Because it is time to put yourself first. Taking time to exercise each day adds to your life! And it also takes away...it takes away weight, low self-esteem, lack of energy, etc. I know there are a lot of different options out there, but I promise if you take a chance on this one you won't be disappointed. Message me and we'll figure out the best path forward for you!
Would you wake up at 3:00 in the morning to get a good spot for a workout that happens at 6:00? If you think this sounds intriguing, then you are definitely my people! This group of ladies was up at the literal butt crack of dawn with me to get a front row spot at the BEST workout of the year. If you've ever been to a really great group fitness class, just imagine that times 1,000 and you might get the type of energy that this event brings. It's the one thing that I look most forward to each year and can't wait to do it again next year with a few more friends. Will you be one of them?
Have you ever made friends with someone on the interwebs and finally meet them IRL and they immediately snap a quick pic to send to their husband to confirm you are a real person and not a serial killer?! If not, I highly recommend seeking out this experience, because it means you get to squeeze a soul sister in the flesh and not just virtually. Kelly and I "met" on FB like 6 years ago from a random fitness post I made and we have been connected since. What *could* have been awkward was amazingly wonderful and I know we will be friends for many more years to come. Sharing your life on social media can feel weird and even dumb sometimes, but it can also bring you incredible connections. Have you found important people in your life on social media?
When was the last time you allowed yourself to try something new? I typically have always liked more high-impact exercise. I like to beat myself down a little bit (so to speak), in order to train my brain to overcome. However, in order to optimize our performance, it is better to mix it up and go through cycles with our training. I wasn't doing that at all, and my performance (mentally and physically) really was suffering. It has been such an eye opener to slow down just a little bit. Don't get me wrong, there is still intensity in my workouts, they just are coming from more intentional, low-impact movement. Do you mix up your workouts at all?
Dancing...or exercising? If you've seen me dance, I do a lot of jumping, so this is not far off. 😂 I LOVE dancing, even if I am not very good at it. Even being on drill and cheer teams in high school, and on a dance team in college, I really had to work hard and practice a lot to look like I halfway knew what was going on. But dancing, just like most other movement, floods your brain with feel good chemicals. So even if you don't look super awesome, you FEEL super awesome, and that is what is most important, right?!
When we returned to live events last fall, I was reminded of the most important part of being involved with Beachbody, and that is the community. Sure, if you follow any workout or nutrition program, you will most likely get results, but those results are really amplified when you are being boosted by others on the same journey. On my own journey I had slipped back from interacting with others as much and really just tried to go it alone for awhile, and frankly, it kind of sucked. That's why I am so happy to be bringing back monthly focused groups. I know I need it, and I am guessing you do too. My next one will start on May 2nd. You can join for as low as $59 for three months, but I am offering $20 back to the first five people who commit with a total solution package (ask me for more details). If you would like more info, or are ready to go, drop a 🙌🏻 below and let's go!

I know that this may come as a shock, since SO many of you follow me for fashion advice (hello f***y packs), but I get dressed in the dark most mornings before I work out. Sometimes I don't even see what I am working with until I hop on my zoom. My included the t-shirt I wore yesterday, tie-dye capri leggings (with a later discovered hole in the crotch), and socks featuring tortilla chips wearing sombreros. 😂 My point being, it really doesn't matter what you wear to do the work, as long as you are showing up. And if you work out from home, no one will be there to judge you, unless you want to share it on the internet. Even then I say f**k em, cuz they are probably just jealous.
Did you know that today is Ditch New Years Resolution Day? Apparently by this time, most people who made resolutions have already given up. I think too many people expect to just overturn their entire lives in an instant, and any slip-up feels like a total failure. I know, because I used to be one of these people. I'm still not totally immune to the negative talk, but I have learned to just do my best at the time and keep going. Like today, when I didn't have a dumbbell available for my live workout. I could've given up, but instead I grabbed my water jug and improvised. Maybe you made a resolution to exercise more this year, but your schedule makes it hard to get to the gym as often as you'd like. Why not go for a 10 minute walk when you can squeeze it in instead? It's still exercise. It still counts as a step in the right direction. 😉 At the end of the day, as long as you take some kind of action, even if it is not the perfect action you had in mind, you are still succeeding. So keep that s**t up! 👊🏻
I've been using Halloween music and theming my P.E. classes this week. We ran from zombies and jumped over graves in a previous class, and today I used a pumpkin as a weight. Tomorrow they *might* get lucky and get to meet Jess Kwon Do. I'm not sure if my middle schoolers even care, but when it come to the children, Coach Jess is for the children. 😉
Working out is always more fun with friends, which is why my friend Mandi and I have decided to team up for the premiere of our new LIVE platform! We are hosting a group next week to introduce this new streaming option, and you are invited to check it out! There will be prizes from us and BB for participation, including a new MYX bike being given away EVERY DAY! 😱 There is no cost to join the group, but if you want to try the workouts, a day pass will only set you back $7. Drop a 🚴🏼♀️ below if you want in!
It's officially hoodie season in the garage gym! I actually prefer when it's a little bit cooler, because I get warm so easily, and when I start sweating I know I'm working really hard and it's not just because it's hot outside lol. Admittedly, it can be a little harder to get started though. Mostly the getting out of a warm cozy bed part.😂 Do you work out in a non-climate controlled space?
I probably could have tried for a better picture, but who am I kidding, this is me. 🤣 I didn't know how much I needed this event today until I was there, right in the middle of it. We haven't had an in-person event like this since January 2020! I missed this community more than I knew, and I am so thankful that we are able to see each other and connect outside of our computer screens again. Can't wait to do it all again in January!
Does this make me an influencer?! 🤣 Thank you for making my day!
