Such an honor to be told that you made a difference in the life of someone going through a very challenging time. Every patient we treat makes an impact on us as therapists as well. ❤️ Thank you!

This is eye opening for anyone to see the reality of a cancer diagnosis. Especially when someone does not lose their hair with their treatment. Every treatment plan is individualized to their specific type and stage of cancer. Many people dealing with cancer look like their everyday self. So many that face a diagnosis and treatment do not share it with everyone in their life. This brings so much meaning to the phrase “Be kind, everyone is facing their own battles”. Kjersti Pollard does a great job of putting into words the struggles and day to day experience of a person who deals with a cancer diagnosis.

❤️❤️❤️

Fun fact: I worked in a clinical setting for 10 years as an exercise technician who helped physical & occupational therapy patients with therapeutic exercises to assist healing an injury or surgery.

🧘‍♀️that lead me to getting certified in Restorative Yoga to offer classes to patients outside of therapy hours..

🎗which lead me to the local cancer center to work and continue to teach yoga..

💚which lead me to get certified in Yoga for Cancer to keep safety a priority for patients doing yoga during radiation and chemotherapy..

🌿which lead me to becoming an herbalist to learn more about plant medicine as another tool of support for my patients and community...

This Saturday I'm reminded of this full circle of mine, as I get to offer a meditation and yoga demo at the third annual conference.

This conference is put on to connect those going through cancer/anyone affected, to some pretty cool resources in the local community that offer their own unique version of support.

Thank you to Dr. Tracy Bender, one of my closest friends and former boss (even though she hates when I introduce her as that) for putting this conference on.. Lincoln Nebraska is so lucky to have such an special event.

Get your tickets today! 🎟 🤍✨️
