Sommerzeit. Der von YATWA in ihrer letzten Veröffentlichung besungene Helfer in der Not, Marvin Morser, ist schon im Urlaub; Lana del Rey hat in der Zwischenzeit auch wieder released. Höchste Zeit für etwas Summertime Sadness; verbunden mit der Frage ob dieses „alles“, das wir Leben nennen, irgendwann leichter wird. Irgendwann muss sie ja kommen, diese Zukunft -sei es in Form von Ruhestand, Dolce Vita oder Utopie. YATWA widmen dieser Divergenz zwischen Schönwetter-Feeling (Musik) und ängstlichen Zukunftshoffnungen (Text) eine Hymne mit dem schlichten Titel „Easier“. Musikalisch driftet die Band mit ihrer zweiten Single des Jahres noch weiter in den New Wave a la Blondie und Konsorten ab, ohne sich dem damit verbundenen Vibe anbiedern zu wollen.
