NALTP
A professional association of lice treatment professionals dedicated to
promoting safe and ethical standards in the head lice removal and treatment
industry.
The 'super lice' map is sort of super lying Most importantly: Super Lice is in Utah, contrary to what the green and pink map indicates.
The way the media portrays super lice makes them sound like some mythological type of bug!
Super lice are merely lice that are resistant to pesticide based treatments because of overuse. Even though only 25 states were studied, most likely every state has evidence of super lice. It is just how the species have evolved.
Do not fear super lice. Hire a company committed to manual removal and they will get rid of your super lice in only one treatment. There are no special devices or products that get rid of super lice on their own. You must remove every louse and nit out of the hair in order to guarantee an end to your infestation.
Happy Valentine's Day! 💖❤️💜💙💚💘
The NALTP warns consumers about companies selling laundry detergents for use during a lice infestation. You do not need special detergents. Clothes should be laundered and dried on hot. That is sufficient.
Companies selling these products are merely capitalizing on people's fear and stress during a lice infestation. The claims of these products are bogus. Beware!
September is Head Lice Awareness Month. Remember to check your hair frequently with a good lice comb.
