🌲Do you spend a lot of time outdoors? A new study shows that spending just 20 minutes in nature can cut your stress-levels, in a BIG WAY! 🧘
🌻This study, which was published in a medical journal called Frontiers in Psychology, looked at exactly how much time you need to be outside to get the biggest stress-relieving bump. 🌵
👍🏻⏳Scientists had people spend 10 minutes or longer outside in public parks or green areas near their work, for 3 days a week over the course of 8 weeks.
🐢The study subjects could walk, sit, or otherwise “engage in nature” but they couldn’t read or be on their phones.
🌳Before and after each of their nature breaks, researchers measured their levels of the stress hormone called cortisol.
🌷The Results: people who spent just 20-30 minutes in nature showed the biggest drop in cortisol rates!
☘The takeaway: the next time you need to take a break or de-stress, try going outside for a little 1-1 time with nature. You’ll probably notice you feel a lot better in just a little time.☘

✅Did you know that stress can affect you all the way down to your DNA?! It actually can lead to changes that affect how you age.

I just sent out an email about this (be sure to follow us for details!).
Basically, stress can shorten the protective caps on your DNA.
Obviously, you can’t escape stress (nor should you even try, because a little stress helps us with personal growth and expanding our boundaries).
💡But managing stress so you can stay ahead of it is always a good idea.
My favourite ways to manage stress are walking, spending time with my kids (ok, that doesn't always work!) or hugging my cat 🐈.
✅How stressed are you right now?
I just had a long chat with a client who is absolutely crushing it and it broke my heart.

“I want to keep working toward my goals … but I don't feel like I should spend the money on myself, I should spend it on my family or debts”
This feeling is SO COMMON – the mother guilt is real.
You work so hard for your loved ones because their well-being is important to you. It can feel selfish to take time or money for yourself.

There are moments in life that feel like a complete waste, but they can be turned into something productive.
For instance, if you were to ask someone how they would go about turning their life around and getting back on track, one of the first things they might say is "I need to change my mindset".
It's not an easy task but it can be done with some work.
The most important thing is to remember that nobody else has control over your thoughts or feelings - only you!
When trying to find your true purpose, use these 4 fundamentals:
1. Reducing bad habits (such as clinging to people, clinging to negative thoughts, etc.)
2. Reuse things (i.e skills, hobbies, etc.)
3. Restart your goal (is your goal still relevant in your life?
4. Refuel your passion by finding out your definition of happiness
There Are Three Solutions
People often think of a problem as something that can be solved in one way.
But in reality, there are three solutions to every problem: Accept it, Change it or Leave it.
This will help you find an answer more quickly and with less effort!
Here's a pro-tip: Regardless of what problem you have, try to find the path of least resistance towards resolving it.
The biggest goals are achieved one step and one day at a time.
Just know that whatever the endeavor is, it is up to you to decide how to think, where to direct your attention (and energy), and what behaviors to show towards your goal.
It's either "one day" or "day one" - The choice is yours, make the best of it.

Motivation is usually unsustainable due to its dependence on external factors.

Intrinsic motivation is the easiest way to hack your way to discipline and flow.

The saying that you have to get out of your comfort zone in order to achieve greater things is a cliche, but it is true!
Look outside of the comfort zone, act there and that same zone that’s holding you back will expand into new, exciting experiences, skills, and knowledge.
OH dear!
One word that comes to my mind when I hear “huevos rancheros” is YUM.
This recipe delivers on that and more – it’s easy and takes just a few minutes to make.
Plus it’s REALLY GOOD FOR YOU. Double win.
This recipe makes a great breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Healthy Huevos Rancheros
(serves 4)
● 1 15.5-oz (425 g) can black beans, drained and rinsed
● ¼ cup (60 ml) warm water
● 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
● 4 large eggs
● 4 small white corn tortillas, warmed
● ½ cup (55 g) of your favorite salsa
● ½ cup (120 g) crumbled feta cheese
● ¼ cup (10 grams) chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
● Dash of hot sauce (optional)
In a skillet over medium-low heat, stir together the black beans and water, and heat through until warm (you also can warm them in a microwave in a covered dish for 90 secs to 2 mins).
While the beans are warming, heat the oil in a skillet and fry the eggs sunny-side up, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Warm the tortillas for 30 seconds in the microwave.
Place each tortilla on a separate plate. Equally divide the beans, then top with a fried egg, some salsa and cheese. Sprinkle with cilantro (coriander) and optional hot sauce, and serve with any remaining salsa.
I’m officially drooling.

✅A: In a word, NO!
You only have to get up early enough to allow yourself time for the things that are important for you, in order to start your day off right.
⏰Over the past few years I’ve seen “perfect morning routines” online that would take hours to get through. Plus, they are virtually impossible for anyone with family responsibilities.
There’s a much better approach to a long, drawn-out morning routine.
🌞Just get up early enough so that you can get through all of the things you need to do in the morning …. but don’t feel RUSHED.
👍And bonus tip- spend a few minutes at night doing whatever you can to make tomorrow morning even easier.
