Quizzicurl Selkirk Rex Show Cats
Selkirk Rex cats based in Scotland - I strive to produce typical cats that have great temperaments and conform to the breed standard.
A great deal of research is undertaking to import new unrelated lines and to keep genetic diversity within pedigrees.
Congratulations to the gorgeous Jeremy (Ch & Pr. Quizzicurl Neptune) and Suzzanna - his owner - on winning his first Grand at the Supreme cat show on 21st October. Look at the size of his eyes!
As I am winding down breeding & showing my Selkirk Rex this year, I would like to find homes for some of my adult cats so they can get more individual attention. They will be neutered before leaving me. A couple will be happy in a single-cat household, a few others will be happier going as pairs. A rehoming fee will apply.
If you think you have a preference for an adult cat rather than a kitten, please do not hesitate to message me to discuss which cats are available. All my Selkirk Rex are longhaired so will need grooming and are only available to indoor homes or homes with a secure garden.
Handsome young man Jeremy owned by Suzzanna, won his 3rd CC at Preston & Blackpool CC show on Saturday (25th) making him a Champion.
Champion Quizzicurl Neptune.
Well done to Jeremy (Quizzicurl Neptune) and his owner Suzzanna on winning the CC today at Lancs CC show, Jeremy's 2nd CC.
Congratulations to Jeremy (Quizzicurl Neptune) and owners on winning his first CC & BOB at Shropshire Cat Club show today. Thank you to judge Pam Beard Smith.
And then IGMC Remus (Quizzicurl Sir Morien) who is shown as a household pet had a spectacular win at the Cumberland cat show, he won his Olympian certificate and then was declared Overall Best Household Pet in Show. Remus is also owned by Dorothy & Bruce.
Quizzicurl Candlesnuff (Spyder) owned by Dorothy and Bruce won his third CC to become a Champion. Spyder is homozygous for curl so over summer isn't in his best coat and type in homozygous can vary so this is a good win for him.
Long overdue show news and photos.
Firstly, Jeremy (Quizzicurl Neptune) owned by Suzzanna who is out in the kitten classes and amassing his own following on Instagram!

Well, the Supreme 2022 has been and gone. Due to time and distance I can't show at the this show but Remus (Quizzicurl Sir Morien) and Quizzicurl Neptune (Jeremy) owned by Dorothy & Suzzanna respectively flew the flag.
Remus is shown as a Pedigree Pet as he is homozygous for curl. Ped Pets are judged on condition and temperament, he was 2nd in the UK Grand class, the baby of the entrants and beaten by a straight haired black Selkirk Rex who is very much a seasoned pro, bred by Sarah of Boucles.
And Jeremy was the baby of the kitten entry, he was beaten by another Boucles bred cat but received a lot of praise from judge Wayne Vessey.
Flower (Ch. Quizzicurl Lotusflower) won her 2nd Grand CC today at the Shorthair and All Breeds Cat Club of Scotland from judge Mark Pearman. She also won a 2nd in the only side class that was allocated for section 3 cats.
Flower is a blue tortie & white Selkirk Rex longhair, sired by Quizzicurl Oreo Cookie out of Quizzicurl Puff of Smoke.
Cirratus Kylie, imported from Germany, is now a very lovely 2 year old. SRL h 03.
