A neighborhood alliance for residents dedicated to the revitalization and continual growth of downtown Corpus Christi.
The purpose of the Downtown Neighborhood Alliance (DNA) is to encourage citizen participation in the revitalization and continual growth of downtown Corpus Christi. The group’s intent is to be a positive, productive force behind an area that has previously ignored resident’s concerns. Due to increases in residential developments, downtowners should have an opportunity to have their voices heard by
fellow residents and their city officials. Ultimately, the group will work to creating a better living environment for themselves and future residents by voluntary participation in group discussions, meetings with city officials, clean-ups and work days, and other activities that will benefit downtown Corpus Christi. This voluntary neighborhood association will be comprised of residents located east of uptown (Upper Broadway street) and highway I-35, spanning past McCaughan Park to Furman Ave in downtown, Corpus Christi, Texas. This area contains several apartment and housing communities, such as Princess Apartments, Sea Gulf Villa, Limerick, and the Nueces Lofts, residential houses scattered throughout, and the Marina residents.
